| Albums For College
I have not made a list in a couple months now, nor posted comments or
reviews in nearly just as long. But hey I am still alive! Just busy at college
and life. So here are things I bought the other day that I will be listening to
walking between classes/doing homework/whatever have you | 1 | | Kate Bush Aerial
Being a double album, this is one Kate album I did not want to download since it's
two halves are supposed to be enjoyed separately, so when I finally found it I had to
buy it right away. I didn't know much of the album aside from the Pi song, I was
expecting something a little more poppy, but it is still a very beautiful album. | 2 | | Tori Amos To Venus and Back
A couple days ago I had a random rediscovery of Boy's For Pele (my favorite Tori
album), so when I saw this I bought it just for my interest in the live disc. | 3 | | Pat Benatar Best Shots
People had been telling me to get into Pat forever now, all I have from her prior to
this are the vinyls of Crimes of Passion and In The Heat of the Night that were once
my parents. | 4 | | Grimes Geidi Primes
Grimes is one of my favorite artists to make it big in 2012 so I figured I would check
out her older stuff. It is quite different from Visions in that there isnt a much
electronic dancey parts to it, more atmospheric sounds. | 5 | | Glasser Ring
Heard she was similar to Grimes, which she is really, probably not quite as good, her
vocals sound almost identical to Class Actress, which kind of bothers me, but the
actual music, particularly the percussion sounds are very fun on this. | 6 | | Jessie Ware Devotion
A very fantastic album to come out of 2012, Jessie has a unique voice and her songs
are arranged very beautifully. Wildest Moments is one of my favorite songs right
now. | 7 | | Brandon Flowers Flamingo
I went through a mild Killers phase a few weeks ago, and after burning through all of
their material I figured I should grab this as well. I was very surprised by how much
I enjoyed it. His voice sounds great throughout and the lyrics are very visually
appealing. | 8 | | Blondie Eat to the Beat
I found this in a record shop for just 2 dollars so I thought, why the hell would I not
by this because the singles off it, Atomic and Dreaming, are two of my favorite
Blondie songs. | |
