09.02.10 | They all have soundoffs so you know, don't argue, read! |
BigHans
09.02.10 | Work off Futures is like one of the best songs ever. |
Counterfeit

Counterfeit
09.02.10 | He's gotta point mang, soundoff makes a whole lotta sense. |

09.02.10 | 19 is amazing
the amount of hate it gets is ridiculous |
Counterfeit
09.02.10 | I can't get into it, personally. |
botb
09.02.10 | 20 is a 5? |
crazyblinddude
09.02.10 | A lot of these are awesome. Cool list. Though I'd probably disagree with a few of your choices, it's nice list nonetheless. |
TheSpirit
09.02.10 | been listening to a lot of 19 lately |
BigHans
09.02.10 | None of these are a 5 for me, but I like most of them alot with the exception of Animal Collective and Fun |
JWT155
09.02.10 | I have 20 as a 5 for pretty much the same reason as Knott, album was arguably the most influential one of the last decade. |
ConsiderPhlebas
09.02.10 | American Idiot is controversial? |
vanderb0b
09.02.10 | The fact that 20 is important and controversial in no way justifies giving it a 5. Musically, it's pretty mediocre, and it does not fare much better lyrically. |
AliW1993
09.02.10 | I should really check out the ones from this list I haven't heard, I love everything I have. |
porch
09.02.10 | put the soundoffs in as descriptions next time |
JWT155
09.02.10 | I respectively disagree vanderb0b. |
Inveigh
09.02.10 | what exactly is controversial about American Idiot?
in fact, I think making an album like that was about the most commercial, predictable and overall "sellout" move Green Day could've ever made. Bush-hate was at an all-time high well before that record came out (it became the overwhelming majority opinion, and the "cool" subject for teens who really had no idea what they were talking about to prove their cred with) and Green Day was the perfect fluff band to package that shit for the masses and make millions off it.
that album was no better than Toby Keith saying "put a boot in their asses" and selling millions of records to rednecks. except that Green Day happened to be a little more correct. a little. |
BigHans
09.02.10 | ^ What he said |
ConsiderPhlebas
09.02.10 | Inveigh speaks the truth. The album was well a well timed business venture. The fact that half the songs on it sound like Avril Lavigne contributed to it's success immensely. |
AngelofDeath
09.02.10 | 20 is one of the worst albums of all time. |
ConsiderPhlebas
09.02.10 | "Rock albums should split opinion, inspire some to dance, some to riot and some to revolt, so hats off, Green Day"
Rioting? Revolution? Green Day? |
Winsomniac
09.02.10 | 20 is terribad, bro. Sorry. |
kitsch
09.02.10 | wow inveigh turned into someone whos actually got some sense and knott is a douche.

Yotimi
09.02.10 | I like u knott, but I've never disagreed with anything more than your soundoff for 20. |
Counterfeit
09.02.10 | If you disagree with that sound off, yer dum |

09.02.10 | sputnik is usually right with the average ratings |
porch
09.02.10 | not really, RYM's are way more trustworthy and less susceptible to fanboyism |
Knott-
09.03.10 | Lol. 20 is, as I said in the first few words of my soundoff, a weird rating. I rate it a 5 on the basis that it on its own changed music for a half a year or whatever. try not to focus on it. i debated included it, and this shows why. |
luci
09.03.10 | RYM annoys me because every album has negative ratings no matter what
so the average is always skewed lower |

09.03.10 | Don't worry, 200 people are with you on American Idiot (not that I'm one of them). Oh, and I see that 3 people rated it a 0 and 6 people rated it a 0.5, how the hell do you even do that? |
