Top 5 Of 2012

Just my top 5 of the year. Happy weekend and all that.
1Converge
All We Love We Leave Behind

I have no clue how Converge do this, but they somehow managed to make the most melodic, epic, brutal and fastest album of their entire discography in one album. Untouchable in their own self created genre.
2Deftones
Koi No Yokan

Far and away the most atmospheric and consistent album by Deftones yet. Self titled, wrist and diamond eyes all mashed together in one hell of an album. Beyond anything they have ever released and time might prove this to be their magnum opus.
3Every Time I Die
Ex Lives

One of my favorite bands and probably their all around greatest album so far. Not a single dull moment on this album and Legs absolutely kills it on drums, Keiths singing and lyrics are better than ever and Jordan and Andy just simply kills it. Outstanding album.
4Propagandhi
Failed States

Probably all around less accessible than Supporting Caste, but a grower of an album. Their darkest and heaviest effort so far.
5NOFX
Self Entitled

Their most consistent album since War on Errorism. Their most hardcore sounding album in years, and a lot less filler than Wolves and Coaster. An almost complete turnaround from a band who seemed unbothered just a few records ago.
