More Vinyl

Another list of new vinyl LPs I picked up. Enjoy!
1 Sigur Ros
Ágætis Byrjun

For anyone who listens to Sigur Ros, you know how amazing this album is. Sweeping melodies, epic climaxes, and sorrowful intermissions. This is probably in my top 10 favorite albums of all time.
2Genghis Tron
Board Up The House

Genghis Tron's name jumped out at me when I first listened to them a few months ago, and ever since, I've been hooked. Intense music, but very eerie at times on this record. It's got danceable breaks, it has mosh-til-your-back-breaks heaviness, and head-bobbin' catchiness. Amazing album, and on the D side, it has a laser etching of the album art--SICK
3A Life Once Lost
Iron Gag

Always liked this band ever since I saw them at Ozzfest 2006 (I think), and this album was sitting in the bargain bin at my local record shop. Limited Edition Red vinyl with black swirls.
4 HORSE the Band
Shape Shift 7

HORSE the Band will always have a special place in my heart (no homo) and I jumped at the opportunity to have the new single on a 7" clear vinyl.
5Blue Sky Black Death
Late Night Cinema

Blue Sky Black Death is responsible for my relapse into hip hop. This is different hip-hop though. No lyrics, just instrumental, beat makin' bliss. An excellent record, sounds even better on vinyl.
6Slayer
Haunting the Chapel

They recently re-released four Slayer albums or EPs on limited edition blood-splattered vinyls. Of course, you can't be a fan of metal, without praising classic Slayer.
7Slayer
Hell Awaits

Another bloody good Slayer album. Come on....
8Slayer
Show No Mercy

And another, same as the other three. Give it up.
9Dillinger Escape Plan
Ire Works

Dillinger Escape Plan is just one of those bands you can use to scare the crap out of your younger siblings. Brutality and calculated intensity is the name of their game, and the technicality of their musicianship (especially on their earlier albums) is so good it's scary.
10Lamb of God
New American Gospel

No one can deny the ridiculousness of Black Label. This album is responsible for getting me into metal so many years ago. I still remember the first time I heard that song, I was shocked that I enjoyed it so much.
11Lamb of God
As the Palaces Burn

This album is on a picture disc, and it makes me smile.
12Lamb of God
Ashes of the Wake

Amazing album, probably their best, besides the debut album.
13Lamb of God
Sacrament

I'm pretty sure I got this album the same day as the other three, just to make sure I got the entire discography (at the time).
14Lamb of God
Wrath

LoG's newest offering was pretty well executed. Not sure about a few of the songs, but I can definitely say I cannot wait to see these bastards live again.
15Tool
Undertow

Classic Tool album, their most... metal album I think. Disgustipated is incredibly enjoyable for me, for some reason.
16Nine Inch Nails
Year Zero

Trent being paranoid, offering up a new, glitchy, poppy album for his fans to eat up. Gotta love that political commentary.
17Clutch
Jam Room

I like the way they approached this album. Just go and record what WE want, and go from there. The sounds that come from the speakers when playing this album make me smile.
18 Mastodon
Divinations (Single)

Limited Edition picture disc with an instrumental version on the b-side. YAY
