qwe3 12.28.10	not really, souls at zero is pretty accessible if you think about it. more much more so than the eye of every storm which is prob their most difficult (and in the end, best) release. in any case, this guy likes early isis, so the sludge thing wouldnt even be a problem if it existed

eternium 12.28.10	Nothing really touches Cult of Luna, Neurosis, or Isis but The Galilean Satellites from Rosetta and Affliction from Overmars come close. Only two albums though.

eternium 12.28.10	Australasia is really good but not that good. I still haven't listened to the EP. I absolutely love Affliction, especially for its versatileness, and I have Born Again on vinyl.

Relinquished 12.28.10	Age doesn't have anything to do with it, just started with Isis and Neurosis when I was 14. I also have Born Again on vinyl and it's a great album, but kinda like Affliction it drags. and I listen to shit loads of doom and drone.
eternium 12.28.10	Age has to do with that you've had more time to find and discover shit that I haven't. I got into the big post-metal bands at the same age but I've only had four years to explore not only post-metal but many other genres as well.

myhigherpie 12.28.10	Relinquished you should recommend me some good doom metal. I've been wanting to get into the genre. As a guideline, I really liked Watching from a Distance and the first two Solitude Aeturnus albums.

myhigherpie 12.28.10	I feel like the only person who puts A Sun That Never Sets above everything x) I really like the instrumentation on that. Flutes and violins are nice~
