|Warped Tour 11 Stl|
All the bands I saw at Warped Tour 11 in StL.
Pink Crustaceans and Good Vibrations
Didn't hear much from these guys, but I did hear some of their between song banter and they were really funny.
Stand Up and Scream
I liked their first album, but not really feeling their new album. The set was entertaining. They had a "wildest fan" contest, and they gave it to this hot chick with big tits who kept flashing everyone.
|3|| ||Family Force 5|
Business Up Front/Party in the Back
These dudes were rad! They are one of the only excpetions to rap/hip hop that I will listen to. They got everyone in the crowd into a frenzy early and ended the set with the lead singer crowd surfing in one of those plastic bubbles.
Someday Came Suddenly
Never really thought much of these guys, and their performance didn't help much. The crowd seemed 50/50 on whether they liked them or not, I still can't decide.
|5|| ||I Set My Friends on Fire|
You Can't Spell Slaughter Without Laughter
These guys are a guilty pleasure of mine. Nothing really special though.
|6||The Acacia Strain|
I don't know what it is about these guys, but I can't stand them. I saw them open for ABR a couple years ago and they were the biggest assholes ever. I decided to stop by and give them another chance, that lasted 10 seconds.
|7||Less Than Jake|
Not sure if anyone else feels this way, but Warped Tour is not complete without a set from LTJ. This is the 8th Warped Tour and they've been on 6 of them. Needless to say, those other two were the crappiest WT's. They're just so energetic and play well with the crowd, it's a guarenteed good time. This time around they picked a guy with "metal" hair, gave him a mohawk during one song, then they got a chick out of the crowd to make out with him for the entire next song. Haha, good times.
|8||August Burns Red|
This will be very biast since ABR is my favorite band EVER. But they're set was the best of the day. As soon as Matt started beating on the drums, my heart was racing for the next 30 mins. JB was a magician on that guitar and Jake totally ruled the crowd from start to finish.
|9|| ||Relient K|
The Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek
I was recovering from ABR in the amphitheater when I saw these guys. I'm a fan of their earlier years (first 3 albums). It took me about 15 mins to realize they were even playing since they were playing all their new poppy crappy songs. Oh well, i'll always have the old times.
|10||We Came As Romans|
To Plant A Seed
I've seen these guys before and I thought they did a good job. This time was horrible though. Especially the melodic singer who sounded like 10 year old girl attempting to hit the high notes.
|11|| ||The Ready Set|
I'm Alive, I'm Dreaming
I was resting in th amphitheater, eating some food when I heard the atrocity that was the ready set. This Bieber wannabe was wowed the ladies and pissed me off.
|12||The Wonder Years|
These guys were okay, I hear big things about them all the time but I just don't get it.
|13|| ||Jack's Mannequin|
Everything in Transit
Never really got into Something Corporate, but there's something about JM that really speaks to me. Andrew just seems to know the right combination to soft, hard driven, piano rock. His timing couldn't have been any better. Their set was near the end of the day and everybody was tired from the hot sun and waiting for ADTR and TDWP. This was a good way to calm down and relax before those harder bands.
|14||A Day To Remember|
What Separates Me from You
Love these guys, they always do a good job. The set seemed a little laid back but they still kicked ass and totally ruled the biggest crowd of the day.
|15||The Devil Wears Prada|
Last band of the day and to my surprise there was nobody really around to enjoy them. I guess the heat got to those wimps. Been into these guys for the past 3 years and they did a good job playing a couple old ones, with basically half the zombie EP, with a new song to hold me over until September.
