And so begins that bleak and hellish week long period that comes around once a year (actually it's twice now since college classes are only a semester long). So instead of digs, this is just a list of albums that I've been listening to whilst studying.
|1||Scale The Summit|
Carving Desert Canyons
Ridiculously melodic instrumental metal...It's a pretty sweet album to just listen to by itself as well.
Hymn To The Immortal Wind
If it's loud enough I can't help but pay attention to it, but if it's at just the right volume it helps me concentrate.
|3||Explosions In The Sky|
The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place
It's kind of a boring album tbh but it's great background music for writing papers/speeches.
|4|| ||Godspeed You! Black Emperor|
Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To
I tried to study to F#A#?, but it didn't work out so well. This album did for whatever reason.
Ambient 4: On Land
|6||Bela Fleck and the Flecktones|
Live at the Quick
If you take out a few of the oddball tracks, it's a pretty relaxing listen.
Not really an album I study to. It's more of a preparatory album...gets me pumped up I guess.
Pianos and acoustic guitars...awesome.
|9|| ||Ricardo Cobo|
Brouwer: Guitar Music, Vol. 1 - Estudios Sencillos, Tres Apuntes & Cancion de Cuna
Classical guitar. Ricardo Cobo is an ace player, Brouwer's compositions are awesome, and Cobo's interpretations are pretty interesting. Again, at the right volume, it somehow helps me concentrate.
Ambient 1: Music For Airports
|Lots of post-rock/ambient, but then again, it's kind of difficult to study while listening to louder, less subtle things...|
|you need stars of the lid|
best ambient ever
|lol at the description to 7. Do you want/need to get pumped up for studing?|
|i dunno how 1 would not get in the way, considering how great it is. you think it's a good album to study to?|
good luck on the finals dawg
|My attention span just functions in odd ways I suppose. It's one of the few albums I can jam out to that also helps me concentrate, only at lower volumes though.|
