It may end up being completely wrong, but this is what the most accurate simulator of football predicts for the 2014 Conference Championships and Superbowl.

Saints (11-5) at Panthers (12-4): At Bank of America Stadium ? The Panthers turned their opening drive into points with a 2 yard dive by Williams, who benefited from a 42 yard Steve Smith reception that put Carolina deep in New Orleans? territory. On the ensuing possession, Thomas Davis picked off Brees and returned it to the endzone for a Carolina 14-0 lead in the NFC Championship?s 1st quarter. The second quarter was a cancellation of punts between the two squads until Newton led Carolina on an amazing drive in the final 3 minutes of the half. His 22 yard scramble got them outside of their own territory, where a one handed grab by Olson, along with solid running by Tolbert and Williams, brought the Panthers to the Saints? 5 yard line. LaFell grabbed a WR screen behind the line of scrimmage and ran into the endzone, giving the Panthers an impressive 21-0 lead at halftime. The Saints, looking to spark the kind of comeback they had in Seattle, came out throwing the ball. A 56 yard catch and run by Stills on the Saints opening 3rd quarter possession cut the lead to 21-7. Carolina responded by driving to the New Orleans 26, but Newton was picked off. The Saints were unable to do anything with the ball against a stout Carolina defense, however. It wasn?t until the 4th quarter that the Saints were able to strike again ? a 30 yard catch by Graham set up a 4 yard toss to N. Toon, cutting the deficit to 21-14. On their way to another comeback, the Saints could taste the Super Bowl. But Newton wouldn?t go down without a fight. Using his legs and his arm, Cam drove the Panthers deep into Saints territory while chewing up a good portion of the clock, resulting in a Gano field goal and a 24-14 lead with only 2:09 left. A holding penalty on defense kept the Saints? final drive alive, where Brees hit Colston at the Panthers? 12 yard line. The Saints failed to punch it in on four tries, however, and handed the ball back to Carolina who took a knee and a 24-14 win ? stamping their ticket to the Super Bowl. The Panthers led the time of possession battle, which was instrumental in keeping Brees and the Saints? dangerous offense off the field. Brees finished with 271 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT. Newton had 255 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT. Panthers 24, Saints 14

Patriots (12-4) at Broncos (13-3): At Sports Authority Field in Denver ? In a high powered matchup of hall-of-fame bound QBs, Manning was the first to give his team the lead in the AFC title game. After Julius Thomas and Knowshon Moreno converted key third downs, Dreessen caught a 16 yard TD for the 7-0 lead late in the 1st. Dreessen actually ended up playing a huge role in the game, which was evident early on when he caught his second TD from 4 yards out to put Denver up 14-0. Prater knocked through a 40 yard FG prior to the two minute warning, giving Denver a commanding 17-0 lead in what resembled the teams? earlier matchup on MNF during the season. Brady went into his famous two minute drill, though, and was able to get New England on the board prior to halftime with a 7 yard throw to Edleman. Manning canceled out Brady?s TD with one of his own midway through the 3rd, hitting D. Thomas for a 27 yard TD catch and a 24-7 lead. If Brady and company were to come back, they needed to start right then. Unfortunately for them, Von Miller picked off Brady and ran it back 40 yards to the New England 29 yard line. Moreno eventually rumbled in from 7 yards out, giving Denver a monstrous 31-7 lead in the 4th. It wasn?t until late in the game that Brady got his 2nd TD, which was a 20 yard pass to Edleman. They attempted the 2 pt conversion but failed, and didn?t recover the onside kick either. Hillman and Moreno were able to share the load and milk the rest of the clock, seeing to it that Brady never got the ball back and preserving the 31-13 rout. Manning finished 31-42 for 387 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT. Brady was 23-42 for 268 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT. Broncos 31, Patriots 13

Panthers (12-4) vs. Broncos (13-3): In East Rutherford, NJ ? The Superbowl ? After the Broncos punted on the opening possession, the Panthers found eventually found themselves facing 4th and 5 on the Denver 41 yard line. Riverboat Ron, as he has done all season, gambled. And it paid off with a 10 yard completion to Hixon, which allowed Carolina to continue driving all the way to the Denver 1, where Newton took a QB sneak into the endzone and elevated Carolina to a 7-0 lead in the Super Bowl. Manning retaliated with a long drive, converting 4 first downs, but eventually had to settle for a 45 yard FG by Prater after Kuechly defended two consecutive throws intended for TE Julius Thomas. The Panthers led 7-3 at the end of the 1st, and kept their momentum going with a 46 yard FG by Gano early in the 2nd. The #1 ranked defense of Carolina continued to slow down Manning?s high powered offense, and when Carolina got the ball back midway through the 2nd quarter, Newton threw a perfect 36 yard pass to Steve Smith, who raced all the way down to the 12 yard line. Two plays later, Newton hit Olson for a 4 yard TD pass and a 17-3 lead. A fumble recovery by Mike Mitchell was returned for a TD with 1:07 remaining in the half, giving the Panthers a shocking 24-3 lead over the favored Broncos. Manning drove Denver down for a quick FG before the half, cutting the deficit to 18 points. With Denver?s offense, a comeback was never out of the question?but the Panthers? opening drive of the second half made it almost impossible to imagine. Newton scrambled all over the place and eventually hit Steve Smith for a 19 yard TD in the back of the endzone to give Carolina a 31-6 lead early in the 3rd. A 31 yard pass to Ted Ginn set up Tolbert?s 6 yard TD, putting Carolina up 38-6. Manning was able to complete short passes, but anything he threw across the middle or deep down the field seemed to result in a knock-out blow from Carolina?s tough tacklers. Perhaps it was that, or maybe that Manning was playing in the cold elements of an outdoors Super Bowl in the northeast ? but whatever it was, the Panthers defense clearly had his number. The panthers tacked on a 41 yard FG early in the 4th to take a 41-6 lead. It wasn?t until Moreno took a draw handoff for 74 yards that Denver scored a touchdown, but at 41-13, it was too little too late. The Panthers took some clock off the board with every possession they had, and the last score of the game was an 11 yard pass from manning to D. Thomas, cutting the deficit to 41-20, which also happened to be the final score. Manning was denied a second ring by the turnaround team of 2013-2014 ? the Carolina Panthers. Newton finished with a 135.4 QB rating. The Super Bowl MVP was Luke Kuechly, who had 13 tackles and 4 sacks. Panthers 41, Broncos 20
