Summer Digs

The following have had significant play time on my ipod recently -
1Exhorder
Slaughter in the Vatican

This album should be compulsory in all educational institutions. Undoubtably my favourite thrash metal band. Riffs that groove so hard it's barely legal
2Blind Guardian
A Night At The Opera

This album is huge. There are like 689014 tracks on each song. All of them are perfectly crafted.
3City & Colour
Sometimes

Emotional, catchy, depressing yet uplifting. Perfect therapy for dealing with members of the opposite sex who disregard your trust.
4Sodom
Agent Orange

Heavy as hell. Best thrash trio ever.
5Alexisonfire
Old Crows / Young Cardinals

Not too heavy, not too mellow. Alexisonfire have found that happy medium at last!
6At The Gates
Slaughter Of The Soul

The riffs, godammit, the riffs!
7Bon Iver
For Emma, Forever Ago

This album opended up a whole new world of folky/indie/acoustic stuff i never even knew existed. Words can't describe the amount of emotion that was poured into these recordings, and it shines out perfectly.
8Enter Shikari
Take To The Skies

A good collection of interesting, catchy and diverse songs. Quality post-hardcore.
9Gojira
The Way Of All Flesh

No other band sounds like this. After a few semi-boring albums, Gojira found their sound and really hit the nail on the head with this release.
10Recon
Welcome to Viper City

Stupidly heavy.
