Horribly Underrated Songs
Even if you don't like Slipknot this 15 minute epic is worth a listen if you like droning rock/metal.
Off of Valley of the Damned, it's the ballady song that just doesn't really sound like anything else they've done. Is epic and awesome.
Again, not a good band, but this song kicks ass and is frequently overlooked because everyone seems to be in love with Bleeding Mascara. The lyrics here are a plus as they're a definite step above anything else the "emocore" genre puts out.
Expired in Goreville
Another band alot of people seem to hate for no reason. After a minute of opening you have 2 minutes of one of the most bipolar songs I've ever heard. If you can stand the vocals this song is worth listening to even if the rest of their music isn't.
the obligatory acoustic song. It's a bad way to close off Believe, but on its own is a pretty song well worth listening to.
When I hear people talking about this band they usually reference Rapture, Overdose, Falls Apart, or Ten Ton Brick. All great songs, but this one frequently gets overlooked in favor of more radio friendly tunes. This doesn't have the dynamics, but it has way more talent in the songwriting.
Dark and oppressive. Even if you don't like Manson you should listen to this. It's simple and repetitive, but it works.
|8||Mindless Self Indulgence|
You'll Rebel to Anything (As Long As It's Not Challenging)
Most people seem to gloss right over this song when discussing the album and I have no clue why. It's catchy, and it has the best lyrics they've ever written.
Hmmm... I could have picked almost non-single song off of LD50, but this one is the best.
|10||A Perfect Circle|
Fiddle and the Drum
Easily the best track on eMOTIVe, and one of their best period, but it doesn't seem to get the attention it deserves.
4 is one of my all time favourite songs
1 is ok too
1 isn't that great, but it's one of the better songs on that album.
same with 4 except that "the words 'best friend' become redefined" is by far the best song on that album. and people hate chiodos because they're awfully generic and the vocals are terrible. i happen to enjoy them every once in awhile for short bursts however.
9 is an amazing song from an amazing album.
I hate 1, but I really really love 5.
I think 3 might be one of Atreyu's best songs, but only cause it's so short.
Good call on 10, that song showcases Maynard's vocals at their finest. Not overly complex or showoffy, just simplistic beauty. Gotta love it.
4 and 5 are tight and 9 is my favorite Mudvayne song ever. Have to see if 1 is any good.
1 is great.
9 isn't underrated... as far as I know.
I meant 2 is one of my all time faves Lol
I agree with 5.
Well, as much as I hate Dragonforce, I have to admit Starfire isn't THAT bad. It's mostly the vocals that annoy me on that. Yeah, I'm not too keen on Slipknot, but Iowa's pretty good, imo. Interesting list, I'll have to have a look at a few of the songs you suggest here.
rest arnt that great [:
