Lucidity's 2010: Live Acts

This year has been an important year for me because it is the first year in which I had the chance to go to concerts. These are the ten live acts that delivered the most exciting and unforgettable performances.
1Envy
Insomniac Doze

Highlight: The post-rock/hardcore contrast while in the pit. I have never felt so alive.
2Frank Turner
Love, Ire & Song

Highlights: Photosynthesis live, meeting Frank Turner, being brought up onstage to play the harmonica solo in Dan's Song.
3The National
High Violet

Highlights: Squalor Victoria live and Matt holding my hand during the bridge of England.
4fun.
Aim and Ignite

Highlights: Take Your Time (Coming Home) live, fun. playing every song on Aim and Ignite, Jack Antonoff crowdsurfing.
5The Tallest Man on Earth
The Wild Hunt

Highlight: The end of King of Spain live is worth the price of admission.
6Andrew Jackson Jihad
People Who Can Eat People are the Luckiest People

I hadn't heard a single song by the band before the show (they were supporting Frank Turner) but I was stunned by how energetic and spirited their performance was. Great live act.
7And So I Watch You From Afar
And So I Watch You From Afar

Anyone who thinks they are a post-rock band should fucking see them live. They tore up the stage.
8S. Carey
All We Grow

Highlight: In the Dirt live.
9Steel Train
Steel Train

Highlight: The one-two punch of Bullet and Turnpike Ghost. They didn't play You and I Undercover though which was disappointing.
10Touche Amore
...To the Beat of a Dead Horse

Highlights: Hearing Jeremy's soft-spoken voice between intense bouts of harsh screaming and the songs on their split with La Dispute.
