Best Melodic Death Metal Albums

My favorite melodic death metal albums.

Edge of Sanity
Crimson

A forty minute song that is actually able to keep your interest the whole way through, this shows Dan Swano at his very best.

In Flames
Colony

Songs like The New World and Coerced Coexistence make this a classic on it's own.

Hacksaw to the Throat
Wastelands

Melodic Death Metal with a twist: excellent vocals and epic build-ups.

In Flames
Lunar Strain

Different vocalist (better), different drummer (also better) this album would probably be Colony is it weren't for Colony having a better overall flow.

In Mourning
Shrouded Divine

More Progressive Melo-Death Metal, soooooo good.

Edge of Sanity
Purgatory Afterglow

Yet another masterful album from the mind of Swano.

Scar Symmetry
Holographic Universe

Very technically proficient melo-death.

The Black Dahlia Murder
Unhallowed

MDM on speed.

The Absence
Riders of the Plague

Really tiresome song structure sometimes, but no doubt this band has some talent.

In Flames
The Jester Race

Blah Blah Blah awesome.

Benzum 05.10.09	Yeah in a way, but the band and the albums has yet to be seen. 9 is moshage so nice one there dude. 5 is also great. Needs more insane thrash bands like Carnal Forge, Corporation 187, Dimension Zero and maybe Nightrage.
