I would be intrigued to see Tool cover these, good list.
i agree. Tool's cover of No Quarter is one of the best cover song's i've ever heard
not bad, I'd like to hear them cover King Crimson most though
Good list...the only one I'm having trouble imagining here is I'm Broken, but the rest are GREAT ideas, especially The Becoming and I Want You(just imagining Maynard croon "I want you so bad" is giving me chills right now)
We Don't Get Fooled Again I could imagine having Carey make a ridiculous drum solo for. Ahhhh man.
Good list, good list.
Yeah, I knew somebody would mention King Crimson, I have yet to listen to them, so I did not know what to pick. While we're on the subject, what album should I start with for King Crimson? And I picked I'm Broken because of the groove and just how it feels, but yeah the vocals and solo make it seem like a bit "un-Tooly" fit.
6 would be a touphy for Tool
There's a few more Sabbath songs I'd like to hear them cover along with Hand of Doom, so it'd be nice to see them do a medley. I'm sure they could pull that off pretty well. I'm Broken would be really interesting, too, but I'd like to hear what they'd do with Floods. It'd be nice to hear Adam Jones' take on the outtro(sp?)/solo. I'd say Pretty Noose would be a pretty sweet cover, too, but Like Suicide does fit more with their style. And I second the desire to hear a good recording of their Stranglehold cover.
Concerning King Crimson: Start at the beginning: In the court of the crimson king. But then... they are experimenting sooooo much that there is not the "typical" crimso-record.
