| Look at me. I'm participating.
Until now I have only "used" Sputnik, but perhaps this will jump-start my participation. Current listening. Feel free rec me something good or comment on my taste or lack thereof. | 1 | | HORSE The Band Desperate Living
Loving it. Makes me smile, nod my head, and sometimes shake my head in disbelief. | 2 | | Maudlin of the Well Bath
I have enjoyed it as background music while reading The Hyperion Cantos, but need to sit down and listen actively. Not sure if I really "get it" yet. | 3 | | Amon Tobin Supermodified
Great. Better than Permutation. | 4 | | The Dillinger Escape Plan Ire Works
So I tried Miss Machine and it went right over my head. I have successfully avoided this band until a couple days ago. Got a copy of Ire Works and it is hitting me just right. Will have to try Miss Machine again soon. | 5 | | Fair to Midland Fables from a mayfly
Kind of meh for me. I'll give it a couple more tries... | 6 | | Blakroc Blakroc
Love me some Black Keys, but I don't usually listen to much rap. I just might listen to more rap if The Black Keys got in the habit of contributing garage/blues/soul/funk to the genre. | 7 | | Tom Waits Rain Dogs
Wow. | 8 | | Sikth Death of a Dead day
Amazing music, but taking a while to accept the vocal style. | 9 | | Clutch Blast tyrant
A favorite of mine has once again entered regular rotation in my ipod. | 10 | | 10 ft. Ganja Plant Midnight Landing
Incredible band. My Reggae knowledge is nearly nonexistent, but these guys grabbed me some time ago. | |

01.20.10 | you should make more lists instead of most of the new users who suck. great list. 2,7,8,9 are among my favs. 1,4,5 are good too. 6 sounds interesting | qwe3
01.20.10 | gr i don't suck
cool list 2 and 7 rule so hard it's sickening | fatlip27
01.20.10 | I own "Miss Machine" and it's pretty unmemorable, but the solid musicianship from The Dillinger Escape Plan is hard to ignore and "Miss Machine" is no exception.
Favorite track: Unretrofied. Probably the most "normal" song this band has ever created. | po0ty
01.20.10 | dude, i downloaded 10 based on this rec- first song that comes on is "Mercy" and that first line mimics a breakup i just had. im also pretty high and thought the album was awesome. | drmoody
01.20.10 | Glad it moved you, but I feel that Mercy is one of the weaker tracks on the album. I love the dark dubby feel of most of the tracks, but I really appreciate how they manage achieve that sound and maintain the live feel, unlike most dub. |
