The Best Albums Of 2008 In My Humble Personal Humble Opinion

The title is self-explanatory so I'm going to take this chance to say that I'm addicted to lists, so if you're sick of reading my crap, sorry.
1Dir en grey
Uroboros

I bought this with the mindset that I really enjoyed the last two albums, and never really listened to it until two days ago. It's really friggin' good. Better than than the last couple by a fair bit.
2The Faceless
Planetary Duality

9 tracks of chugging techno-death. I was iffy on this, but I got it pretty much free at a f.y.e., so...yeah, it's as awesome as they say it is.
3Arsis
We Are the Nightmare

One of the first tech-death albums I bought, and the songwriting and riffage is just insane. Love it.
4Cynic
Traced In Air

Never bought Focus, but now I probably will. This is incredible, incredible stuff and I don't give a rat's ass if it's not brutal.
5Whitechapel
This Is Exile

At first I thought it was mediocre, but I listened more and the syllable-spewing, tri-guitar, and guttural vocals are pretty bitchin'....I am so sorry for using the word "bitchin."
6With Blood Comes Cleansing
Horror

Bite me. I absolutely love this album and since I bought in January it STILL remains the top 6 most-played songs on my iPod.
7The Used
Shallow Believer EP

This was pretty fugging good considering I almost bought the whole damn thing. Best Used album since their self-titled.
8Eluveitie
Slania

I gave it 5 stars for a reason. It is the most amazing Celtic metal ever to walk the Pagan landscape and Turisas can go cry about it.
9Aborted
Strychnine.213

I bought it cuz it looked badass. It is badass, and it's one of those death metal albums with insane dictionary-looking-upping titles.
10Abigail Williams
In the Shadow of a Thousand Suns

Blackened deathcore, or death-ified black-core, whatever. It's still pretty good, being their first LP. Acolytes pwns.
