Some progressive stuff you may or may not of heard of.
Main reason I made this list, Simply needs to be heard more. For fans of Tool, Dredg and A Perfect Circle
Not as well produced, But Harlequinn is brilliant.
|3|| ||East Of The Wall|
Instrumental band with some post-rock-esque movements. Has a split with Rosetta and Year Of No Light.
The Two Windows
Not really too progressive. Worth checking out if you like The Butterfly Effect or Cog.
Or any of their albums tbh. For fans of Sigur Ros or Post-Rock in general
For fans of A Perfect Circle.
As Above, So Below
Isis-like band who may be one to watch in the future.
Vocalist from Riverside's side project. For fans of Riverside or Opeth's acoustic stuff.
Building An Empire
Steven Wilson loves this guy, I can see why. Check him out if you haven't already.
Sol Eye Sea I
It's not in the top albums of 2009 for no reason. Deserves the praise it's been getting from the small percentage of people who have listened to it. For fans of Post-Metal.
Took me over 2 years to make my first list.
I love you for making this list. 1 and 2 are brilliant and I thought I was the only one on here who heard of 6. I'm going to be doing a review for Cire's first album some time soon. 8 is amazing and so is 9. I'll have to check out 4, 7, and 10.
1 is so awesome
10 is in my top albums for 2009
I really need to get 9
Interesting fact about Rishloo. Lead singer was at the airport and their old singer told him to get out of the seat he was sitting in, It ended up in a fight with the current guy knocking out the old one and the rest of the band coming out of an elevator and seeing the aftermath.
They asked him if he could sing. The rest is history.
Whoa, thought i was the only one who knew about Melodyssey on here. Good stuff.
1, 2, 4, 6, 9.
mmm i smell an australian
the only thing i have here is 4, and yeah it's alright
Yah, there's better Aussie Alt/Prog rock around at the moment than Melodyssey. Although, i love their name.
Yeah, There is better around. I just wanted to add those guys because they're funny guys to get wasted with.
Nice list. Havent heard of 3,5,7
Yeah Melodyssey aren'y really prog, but still good, and yeah the name is sik.
You should check out The Third Ending if you don't know them. Really good aussie prog rock band.
