Skrapyard 01.11.12	I feel like the track would be significantly improved without the vocal-less sections, and if you cut down on that main riff (i.e., don't repeat it so much... if the song was ~45 seconds, I'd like it more). Also, it sounds like your drummer isn't all that great. A matter of personal preference, really. I like the vocals, though they edge on the too-clean side for me (I don't know how long you've been shouting/growling/screaming, but mostly that's a matter of practice).
rasputin 01.11.12	dude this song was cut down from like a 4 min rifffest that i wrote, it's a stretch to say i'm repeating a riff too much when there are three totally different passages and the song goes for 1 minute. i tried to vary the vocals as much as possible, though i didnt do many lows. i find it hard to do lows rapidly.

Skrapyard 01.11.12	I guess it depends on what you're going for. I don't think it can stand on its own for that long in a powerviolence song, but then again, only you know what you have in mind. The fast-paced section at the end is great, but it sounds to me like the brief pattern before the moment of blast beats is just bad. Granted, I can't say for sure that he/she is bad considering the song is only a minute long and most of the time the drum part sounds simple enough. Which is all to say it's good, overall. Are you going to keep writing, and if so, will you lean more towards powerviolence or the mid-paced sound of this track?

rasputin 01.11.12	I said up the top it's a powerviolence-'esque' track, most of our other material is actually on the sludgier side of things though we have a couple of hxc ponx songs. We weren't trying to do pv. the bit i think you're referring to at the end (where it sounds like the guitars are doing something else entirely) is like that for a reason. controlled chaos etc etc also it makes the very end sound much more fuller. i wouldnt make assumptions on our drummer, he is very good. we recorded this song an hour and a half after we jammed it with a new member so he was keeping the beats simple so we could get the timing right.

rasputin 02.03.12	perhaps should have elaborated from the beginning these are all rehearsal tracks and the versions that will appear on the final product will most likely have different arrangements thus all lyrics are either written in the minutes before recording or simply improvised so we can get an idea of how it sounds with vocals nonetheless, a song about smoking crack is probably a very common theme in this style of music so it's really not a topic even worth mentioning
