Last 20 Albums I've Listened To
Including the one im listening to right now :) |
1 | | Opeth Blackwater Park
Im currently listening to this right now. It's so amazing. Opeth can get a little on the repetitive side, but this is by far the best collection of songs Opeth has, that i own so far. |
2 | | Dark Tranquillity Fiction
My third favorite album of the year, its quite good. Probably the best death metal release of the year, and my favorite metal release as well. I really enjoy the keyboards as well. |
3 | | Dark Tranquillity The Gallery
Obviously the infamous death metal album from 1994. Its the best by DT, and my favorite death metal album (unless you count Opeth). So good. |
4 | | Megadeth Rust in Peace
This album does not let up on amazing. The riffs, the solos, the song structure. Probably the second best thrash album of all time, and my favorite metal release from the 1990's. |
5 | | At the Drive-In Relationship of Command
Next to Frances the Mute, this is the album of the decade, hands down. The emotion, the power, the constantly amazing songs. |
6 | | Thrice The Alchemy Index: Vols. I and II...
Second favorite album from this year, it has quite impressed me with Thrice. The first EP is obviously very good metal/post-hardcore, but the second EP blew me away. Not that its that much better than Fire, but that i sort of expected the worse. I didn't know thrice could pull of a radiohead. |
7 | | Thrice The Illusion of Safety
I bought this a few days ago, and im somewhat disappointed. Its hailed as the defining Thrice album, but i found it very uninspiring and the lead vocals need work. Seems like an alternative metal record at times :/ |
8 | | Metallica Master of Puppets
Best thrash album. Best title track. Best metal album. Period. |
9 | | Metallica Ride the Lightning
This album is also so amazing and classic. Its no MoP, and tracks 5-7 can be alienating at times (even though i think they are very underrated). But songs like Fade to Black and The Call of Ktulu are metal classics. Both insanely emotional, and moving. |
10 | | Opeth My Arms, Your Hearse
The earliest Opeth album i own, its very very good. There are certainly many strong points and signs of what Opeth will become. The production isn't as good as their later releases, not as much clean/acoustic parts...but still excellent nonetheless. |
11 | | Neutral Milk Hotel On Avery Island
This album is pretty good. No In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, but very telling and experimenting. Fun listen, minus the final track. |
12 | | The Music Welcome to the North
This album is so good. There are certainly its drawbacks, but the maturity developed from the release of their previous album is very exciting. I want them to release another album soon. Underrated band/album. |
13 | | Neutral Milk Hotel In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
Indie Classic from 1998. The depth and beauty. Too bad it was their last work together. |
14 | | Black Sabbath Black Sabbath
The weakest of their first 5 releases. Its a little overrated, but the title track is pretty damn badass. |
15 | | Dinosaur Jr Where You Been?
Excellent, Excellent, Excellent early 90's alternative. So underrated by Dino fans. |
16 | | Dinosaur Jr Green Mind
Not as good as Where You Been, but it has its strong moments and good solos...even if there are fewer. |
17 | | Black Sabbath Mob Rules
Favorite Black Sabbath album. Plain and simple. Underrated by sabbath fans. |
18 | | Black Sabbath Heaven and Hell
Dio>Ozzy
No offense ozzy fans. |
19 | | Megadeth Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?
Pretty good, but doesnt stack up to RiP at all. Not as consistent, heavy, catchy, weaker solos. Overrated. |
20 | | Iron Maiden Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
Such a good album. Up the irons bitches.
Underrated by a lot of maiden fans. It's not Somewhere in Time, but its still very strong. |
