| So Far, So Good, So What
My favorite releases of 2009, not so much quality-wise, but the ones I've enjoyed the most. Sure some have their flaws, but don't we all? | | 1 | | Between the Buried and Me The Great Misdirect
Yes, some songs might feel forced and over-streched at some points (i.e. Swim to the Moon), but to me it's TGM's only major flaw. The instrumentalization is great as alwys plus they add some avant-garde elements. And as someone who enjoys Tommy Rogers' singing I can feel satisfied with the result. | | 2 | | Irepress Sol Eye Sea I
Just astonishing. | | 3 | | Rammstein Liebe ist fur alle da
I'm a major Rammstein fanboy and they have done outselves with this album, ever since Mutter I haven't enjoyed an album from the germans so much. | | 4 | | Giant Squid The Ichthyologist
I really believe this is underated in this site. | | 5 | | Amorphis Skyforger
Sure, it isn't nowhere near as good as Silent Waters, but nothing probably will ever be. | | 6 | | Converge Axe to Fall | | 7 | | Katatonia Night is the new day
I have only had this for a couple of days but it was love at first listen. | | 8 | | HORSE the band Desperate Living
I didn't believe nintedocore actually existed up until I heard this. | | 9 | | fun. Aim and ignite
Best non-metal release of 2009 | | 10 | | Animal Collective Merriweather Post Pavilion
Second best non-metal release of 2009 | | 11 | | Dance Gavin Dance Happiness
The charm has worn off faster than I expected, but it's still pretty enjoyable. | | 12 | | Blackguard Profugus Mortis | | 13 | | The Red Chord Fed through the teeth machine | | 14 | | The Number Twelve Looks Like You Worse than alone | | 15 | | David Guetta One Love | | 16 | | Mew No more stories | | 17 | | Augury Fragmentary Evidence | | 18 | | Coalesce Ox | | 19 | | Behemoth Evangelion | | 20 | | August Burns Red Constellations | |
