5 Most Overrated Bands/artist

I had done this list before and given an explanation, yet it didn't show up, so I did it again, let's see if the explanations get in.
1 The Doors
Album

I can't stand the legions of fans for "The Lizard King", The
Doors played the blues, very, very, very, poorly. Morrison's lyrics were often mistook for poetry when
they were simply drunken rambling's. Far tooo overrated by the general public who still yearn for the
heyday of the San Fransico scence when people could play the blues very poorly and pass it off as
music.
2Jimi Hendrix

Another choice that will be heavily disputed but the oft named "Greatest Guitarist Ever" in my own
opion, is just a bad Buddy Guy knockoff. Not taking away from the immense talent he did posses, Jimi
never seemed to be able to place his emotions in any specfic place like Buddy or Eric. He gets highly
overrated because of his death.
3Led Zeppelin

Freak out, bitch and moan. Zep is very overrated, they pretty standard electric blues, but not very well.
I'm not saying that they are a bad band, by no means, I own their entire collection but I believe that
some of the accolades heaped upon them is misplaced.
4 The Yardbirds
Album

While I don't disagree that the potential was there to have arguably one of the greatest bands ever, Beck
was far to experimental to play these standard blues, Page just wasn't very good, and Clapton was
poised to play his own blues. It might just be me, but the guy's voice who sang sound like the biggest
pussy ever to try to sing some Wolf and Johnny Lee Hooker songs.
5 Ozzy Osbourne
Album

He was alright when he was in Sabbath but solo he sounded everybit as bad or at times much worse
than all the music being put out in the 1980s. As he progressed he allowed horrible producers to steal
any mystic that had still carried over from Sabbath, to the point where he is just an old popstar
wannabe.
