Resurrection Fest 2012
Well, the time has finally come. Getting ready and rpacking stuff for my 3 rdays of paradise in the best festival Spain has to roffer. Here goes a list of rmy favorite bands to play, from most to least rinteresting. |
| 1 | Converge
My main reason for going. Let's just say that "Jane Doe" is the best album ever. |
| 2 | Glassjaw
Wow, my 2nd favorite band too?! Neat! I really love everything they've done so
far. |
| 3 | The Black Dahlia Murder
This is about the only Death Metal band I listen to. I love the stories Trevor
tells,
plus the music has a whole "fun" side to it, and I'm sure they kick ass live. |
| 4 | Unearth
These guys right here, kings of "metalcore". Why? Because they do everything
right, I know it's still metalcore but it's catchy as hell and they completely
blow out
of water bands like Miss May I and shit. |
| 5 | Pianos Become The Teeth
Heard about these guys only like two weeks ago, I didn't give them a proper
listen,
but I do like "The Wave" kind of sound, so who knows, they'll probably grow on
me! |
| 6 | At The Gates
I used to listen to these guys when I was kinda young, not so much anymore.
Anyway, no one can deny "Slaughter of The Soul" is a fucking classic, and it'll
be
good to hear again after all these years. |
| 7 | Hatebreed
Again, listened to them when I was younger. I'm not that much into straight, raw
hardcore, but the music gets you going and the messages in the lyrics are almost
always good. They're good, but no excellent. |
| 8 | Dead Kennedys
Holy shit, this one took me by surprise! They're really old! I've only heard
like 3 or 4
songs, but I like their approach. I'm dying to see how they hold up compared to
other punk bands. |
| 9 | Municipal Waste
These guys are super goofy, I don't really like the music that much, but seeing
them live will be like a super cool party, I imagine! |
| 10 | Against Me!
Hum, don't really know this band. I know it's good, because I listened to a
couple
tracks on "Reinventing Axl Rose". Also, their frontman is a transgender, was a
man,
now a woman. I predict some assholes will start talking shit to her. |
| 11 | Suicide Silence
Yeah, I know, these guys suck. But the friends I'm going with love them, plus
some
songs are fun, like "You Only Love Once". Overall, it's gonna be a show to see
with
friends. |
| 12 | Nasum
These guys are supposed to be some kind of "grind gods". This is the band that
I'm
the most eager to listen because I don't know to expect from them. |
| 13 | Descendents
Punk legends? Ok. Will have to listen to form an opinion, I don't really have
one
right now. |
| 14 | Suicidal Tendencies
Same as Descendents. God, this festival has a god-awful amount of punk bands. |
| 15 | Anti-Flag
Same as the 2 before. |
| 16 | Good Riddance
Another one?! Oh god... |
| 17 | H2O
For laughs with friends, I guess. |
| 18 | Set Your Goals
More of the same, only more modern. |
| 19 | More Than A Thousand
Ok, they're from Portugal like me, but I don't really like them. It's your
average
metalcore band. |
| 20 | This Is Hell
Might be good, I didn't really look them up. I'll just wait and see. |
| 21 | MxPx
They're now carrying the "Allstar" moniker. I predict it will be mediocre. |
| 22 | Deez Nuts
Another one for "fun with friend". Bad, bad music though. |
| 23 | Agnostic Front
More pure hardcore, I don't think I'll even see these guys. |
| 24 | Here Comes The Kraken
Mexico? We'll see how good ( hint: probably gonna suck) |
| 25 | Angelus Apatrida
Oh, and they have TONS of spanish bands. I don't care about them at all, but if
I
hear something good, I might give some bands a quick listen. |
