Bands Who Have Grown On Me
1Say Anything

I wasn't much of a fan of this band when I first heard them, perverted lyrics, basic instrumental work and bland vocals but I very shortly realised that was what was so special about these guys, nothing stands out yet it all seems to work so well. I mean who doesn't want to hear an artist say "I worry about how this album will sound because I believe it will determine the amount of sex I will have in the future" Classic.
2The Rocket Summer

When I first heard the singers vocals I was horrified, Has this man's balls dropped or is he a 13 year old? After a few listens the distinctive pop-rock combination grew on me and soon I was listening to "This Is Me" on repeat. Not to mention the lyrics are of a very high quality.
3The Spill Canvas

What a band! They never struck me as anything special at first. It wasn't until I kept going back to listen to them that I realised I was hooked. Some of the songs this band produce are truely beautiful and I'm still blown away everytime I hear: "Heaven's not a place that you go when you die, it's that moment in life where you actually feel alive."
4Elliott Smith

I had a few songs on my ipod by this guy but never really paid much attention to him. I was actually about to delete him out of itunes when I realised "Wow this is actually really really good!" I'm still shocked at myself that I was once contempating deleting "Angeles."
5All Time Low

Just another pop-punk band? That was the judgement I made when I first listened to these guys. They sat on my ipod for months recieving the occasional listen when it was set to shuffle. The song that really caught my attention however was "The Party Scene" and since then I have been hooked.
