Underrated Old School Dm

Listen up you limey fucks.......
To A Golden Age

Essentially the death metal version of Blood Fire Death, except played by a group of Frenchmen doing their best to channel Odin in ferocious viking death metal.
Blod Draum

Norwegians are known for their black metal. What about death metal? Not quite as popular but this little ditty over here cements itself as required listening. What other crushing mid paced OS death metal band layers didgeridoo with blastbeats? Following The Growls has even a folk interlude to comliment it's face raping brutality.
December Moon

Before coming to Mayhem, Dead was in a Swedish death metal band called Morbid, which in my opinion was better than his Mayhem contributions. Crushing lo-fi blackened DM with necro production.

Iceland;s major musical contributions are Sigur Ros and Bjork. Not very brutal. Indeed. then there's Sororicide. Put out an Ep last year which rapes your face and plasters it to the wall.
World Without God

Not technically underrated anymore, especially given it's well deserved reawakening on Earache records nonetheless the awesomeness of this record is undeniable. They use keyboards and can still get away with it.

Tomas Lindberg pre-At The Gates. Very thrashy death metal.
