Botb's New Gets/re-gets

Just stuff I've gotten in the past couple months from the holidays, downloads, or just purchases.
1 Alpha & Omega
Life Swallower

depressing metallica/old school thrash/hardcore rip-off.
2Amia Venera Landscape
The Long Procession

probably going to be in my top 3 of 2010 whenever I get around to doing the list. its really really fucking good.
3Bane
Give Blood

had it before, finally got it again, album rules
4The Carrier
Blind To What Is Right

haven't gotten around to listening to this yet, but the song i heard off of it was really good.
5The Chariot
Long Live

pretty good so far
6The Chariot
Wars and Rumors of Wars

LOVELOVELOVE Daggers. rest of the album is alright.
7Cloudkicker
Beacons

1-man djent/post-metal/ambient band that rules.
8Cloudkicker
The Discovery

see above
9Comeback Kid
Symptoms + Cures

Really intense. First one by them I've really dug since Wake The Dead and it's way different than that.
10Counterparts
Prophets

really fun melodic metalcore
11 A Day To Remember
What Seperates Me From You

downloaded because i thought why not. like 2 fun guilty pleasure songs, the rest not so much.
12Deftones
Diamond Eyes

finaaalllly found this. it rules and is worth the hype.
13Foundation
Hang Your Head

good atlanta straight edge hardcore.
14Hundredth
When Will We Surrender

Really fun. It's like the same vein of melodic metalcore that The Ghost Inside, Life In Your Way, and It Prevails first album is. aka i really dig it.
15More Than Life
Love Let Me Go

bewbs, also really emotionally jarring. definitely worth checking out.
16 No Warning
Ill Blood

band rules on this release especially. nyhc
17Norma Jean
Meridional

didn't believe the hype that this was their best since Scogin-era NJ, so i put off getting it. but it really is solid and a fun listen.
18Poison The Well
You Come Before You

honestly felt stupid I didn't have this. i kept forgetting to grab it after i had been rec'd it on here and by friends so many times. It's like the link between The Opposite of December and The Tropic Rot
19Rinoa
An Age Among Them

idk what i'd really call this. it has elements of post-metal, straight post-rock, post-hardcore, and even a little bit of skramz. it's really good though. still wonder if they named the band after the girl in final fantasy 8.
20Porcupine Tree
The Incident

One of my favorite bands. Favorite drummer. This isn't nearly as good as the Nil Recurring EP/FBABP but it's still really good.
21Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention
Over-nite Sensation

The dude has 80+ albums so obviously I'm still acquiring them. Zappa is my biggest musical hero and if I could meet any dead person and hang out with them for a day and just talk to them, it would definitely be him.
22Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention
One Size Fits All
23Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention
Uncle Meat
24Rosetta
A Determinism Of Morality

Really really epic post-metal.
25Sed Non Satiata
Sed Non Satiata

post-rock influenced french skramz
26Set Your Goals
This Will Be The Death Of Us

I liked this band's first album, saw them live, heard Gaia Bleeds and loved it. So finally got this. It's a pretty fun, solid hardcore influenced pop-punk album but the first one is still better.
27TesseracT
Concealing Fate

Really excited to hear their full length this year. A more ambient Periphery with better vocals.
28Unbroken
Life. Love. Regret.

a re-get. pretty classic.
29Underoath
Disambiguation

I was really nervous about hearing them without Aaron because of how good DTGL and even some of LITSOS was. But it crushes.
30 Volumes
The Concept of Dreaming

I just wrote this band off as another Djent copycat band at first for months. Then I heard Intake and was like hmmmm. It's no Thordenthal and it's no Bulb, but there's some good grooves and metalcore parts on this.
