04.25.09 | 3 ftw. Ave Maria is amazing!
I'm not really into R&B but John Legend for me is one of the best of the genre. |

04.25.09 | is John Legend not R&b? |
AlexTM510
04.25.09 | lol haha no from what i know that is. But yea i need to go through his stuff...and all of it cause hes legit good from the few songs i heard so thank you |

04.25.09 | Does anyone else blend together R&B, soul and funk from the 50s-70s somewhat? Like, where do Ray Charles, the Temptations, Marvin Gaye, or James Brown fit in? If they fit in as R&B, then I recommend them for old stuff. |
Zoo
04.25.09 | I would agree with that but judging from this list, I think he wants more modern stuff. Usually not just pure r&b but r&b mixed with neo-soul and soul, and sometimes hip-hop as well (which is why I rec'ed the artists I did).
There's a lot of stuff from the 90's like Jodeci, Ginuwine, or anything Babyface touched but I'm not so sure he'd be into that, certainly worth a try though (Ginuwine might be the most accessible, specifically his debut). |

04.25.09 | I'm open to anything that's good so as long as its good then i'll check it out when i can. |

04.26.09 | are you looking for more soulful stuff or glossier pop? your list doesnt help me decide really |
AlexTM510
04.26.09 | Anything that's good....I know its really like in general but yea soulful stuff and glossy pop will work-either/or |
Zoo
04.26.09 | Haha, if you want glossy pop mixed with r&b you'd have to go the Mariah Carey/Janet Jackson/Mya route. |
