The Forgotten Ones

Do any of you remember the times when you first started on your musical journey, blissfully unaware of all that music had to offer, and listening to music without ANY outside influence and NO ONE to tell you whether your tastes were good or bad? I do...and some years later, I tend to forget just how much I LOVED the songs I discovered back then. Songs like the ones on this list, which are songs that I repeatedly go back to after "rediscovering" just how good they are (IMO). Ahhh...good times :-).
1Bad Religion
Tiny Voices

From the first album I ever got by my favorite band. Was the name of one of my blogs for a long time.
2Between Home and Serenity
Tranquility

Excellent but not-so-well known Post Hardcore band.
3Bouncing Souls
Manthem
4Cold
Remedy

Still one of my favorite songs called "Remedy."
5Coldplay
Don't Panic
6Cracker
Low
7Demon Hunter
My Heartstrings Come Undone
8Goldfinger
Spokesman
9Good Charlotte
In This World (Murder)

From "The Chronicles of Life and Death," and probably the best song they've ever produced.
10Hoobastank
Out of Control
11Kutless
Your Touch

Hahaha...I can't tell you the nostalgia I get listening to this song.
12Less Than Jake
All My Friends Are Metalheadz

"...And this is a fair request that I will not judge any person ONLY as a 'teenager', if you will constantly remind yourself that some of MY generation judges people by their race, their belief or the color of their skin, and that this is no more right than saying 'All teenagers are drunken dope addicts or glue-sniffers'."
13Linkin Park
Don't Stay

With that glass-breaking intro. The third album I ever bought with my own money.
14Matchbook Romance
Say It Like You Mean It
15Millencolin
No Cigar

There are always those bands that I forget about when rec'ing punk rock. Millencolin is one of them, as are Bouncing Souls, Ten Foot Pole and Hot Water Music. (By the way, you ought to check all of them out if you've never done so).
16Motion City Soundtrack
Capital H

"Singin' songs on the balcony as the city crumbles under thepowersofanevildoctorrocketsciencemonster with the abilities to destroy the entire universe."
17Muse
City of Delusion

I always forget about half the songs on "Black Holes and Revelations"
18Nas
If I Ruled The World
19Plain White T's
Breakdown
20P.O.D.
Satellite
21Slipknot
Vermillion
22Spoken
September
23Stretch Arm Strong
The Sound of Names Dropping
24Stutterfly
Dead Eyes
25Weird Al Yankovic
Yoda

Yoda! Yo-Yo-Yo-Yo-Yoda! Yo-Yo-Yo-Yo-Yodaaaa! (My favorite of his Star Wars-themed songs)
