Ghost Reveries

is obviously the superior Opeth album. the gothic and dream like atmosphere flows expertly in revery aspect of that record, the songwriting is immersive and captivating, and the musicianship ris hard to surpass but brilliantly executed, especially after considering the number of releases the rband had been together. the soundscapes of the gritty guitars, dense drumming, rolling and rdeep bass, and the vocals are fit in the production scheme flawlessly and the melancholic vibe rcomes across with no problem. after so many years i now have the conclusive order in which rtheir albums rank from best to worst. being the Opeth connoisseur i am, you should take note. rfirst are the albums, then live representations. disclaimer: the only Opeth album i really have rproblems with is Orchid. otherwise this was a hard list to compile.
