Number 11 (Dozer) is awesome. So is 10 (Sleep) Holy Mountain. I thought Queens of The Stone Age came up with the "desert rock" thing to describe their band. I don't think any of these are "desert rock". I hate all these genres. Aren't all of these (or atleast Sleep) just known as stoner/doom metal?
2 is one of the best albums ever. I've actually been meaning to write a review for it. and yeah qotsa are awesome too.
lol wut clutch
im listening to clutch right now.
How the fuck is this stoner rock?
hell yeah for Clutch, Spiritual Beggars, and Dozer. you should check out Beehoover.
annefrank, early clutch had a much more stoner sound to it. now they are just a blues rock band
name a song?
I want to hear stoner rock.
El Jefe Speaks, Willie Nelson, well pretty much most of their songs from their first couple albums
I always wanted to check this kind of shit out
love this kinda music

sons of otis
msg me for some more stoner/doom shit if ya want
I don't know why, but I just really want to find something that sounds like Era Vulgaris from QOTSA. It's bugging me that I can't.
Thank you for introducing me to Clutch, though.
I have 9 and 10. Are 1 and 2 any better?
yeah desert sessions 1 and 2 rule as well.
fistfullofsteel kicking some ass with Astroqueen, thumbs up! have you heard of Farflung?
Jonny the Boy kicks ass.
To UpperDecker:
Fatso Jetson are also a desert rock which I highly recommend to you. You have the point though that the rest is stonerish.
I've heard Neil Fallon saying in one of the recent interviews that they are a stoner rock act so I won't argue with him. Still hard rock and blues are dominant tendencies in their music now. For example, Never Be Moved out of Robot Hive has a very stonerish feel to it.
I've already heard some albums by Monster Magnet, Bongzilla, Nebula and Slo Burn. Thanks for recs. I'll check out all the remaining bands soon.
