Eclectic 09.26.09	Love it, 23 more artists for me to check out. Lolled at 3, how they have their own unique sound. Its completely true, they do, you can't pin them down into any one genre really.

ultradolphins 09.26.09	I saw DZ back last year and I have to be honest... thought it was pretty not that good. Green Green Green plays the same sort of stuff but I think they are better. Duane Barry are really good too! Such young guys would love to play with them Are you coming up to Sydney for the To the North 12 inch release shows in October?

Eclectic 09.26.09	Its always astounded me the sheer diversity of music we humans have created. If you think about it, we have most probably created in excess of a million relatively different songs. I wouldn't be surprised if the number got to 10 million. And we're still going. Am I the only person that is staggered by that figure?

Am I the only person that is staggered by that figure? Yeah, not really. It's all just permutations of the same notes, over different instruments. The combinations are essentially endless.

Eclectic 09.26.09	While that is true, note that only certain combinations work. Like our language, only certain letters strung together create words, and music is the same, except we have far more "correct" combinations of notes than we do for our own language
taylormemer 09.26.09	It doesn't matter. What sounds good and what doesn't is irrelevant. Even if we were restricted as you say we are, the combinations are endless, because music is dependent on time, and time is eternal. Geez man, go read my Messiaen review.

Eclectic 09.27.09	Depends on how much, and when. If it costs anything over 10 than I'm out, my budget is stretched as it is, and if its on the 9th, 10th or 11th Oct than I can't go, busy that whole weekend. If it weren't for those two things than I'd jump on that, it'd be awesome.

The Idea Of North (shroom will back me up on this, they're an A Capella group from canberra, all incredible singers) Bernard Carney (folk singer/songwriter, wrote the main anthem to the "ban the landmines" movement)
