My Top Ten Favorite Songs
These are the songs that I feel most close with and that I love the most. |
1 | Foo Fighters Everlong
Amazing song. The reason I started listening to music. Sends chills down my back. Also, see the Micheal Godrich video. |
2 | Tonic Mr. Golden Deal
Unbelievable track by a not so well known band. A great 90's band who I recommend checking out their first album "Lemon Parade." Their sophomore sucked but they're a great band to relax to. |
3 | Third Eye Blind Narcolepsy
This song is godly. It took me a while to appreciate how amazing this song is. Stephen Jenkins really puts a solid effort on this song. Their first album is unbelievable pop rock. A lot of heavy guitar riffs too. |
4 | Semisonic Closing Time
And the alternative doesn't stop. Classic song, sadly a one hit wonder. 1998's anthem man.. and also makes me remember how the 90's were dying in 1999.. when pop emerged and teenie boppers came. |
5 | Radiohead Black Star
Unbelievable song. This came close to Lucky and Let Down.. but I had to go with this one ever since I saw it live last summer. Such an incredible song. Especially acoustic. Go get some Radiohead. Now. |
6 | Smashing Pumpkins Mayonaise
Smashing Pumpkins have so many great songs I couldn't choose. And then I heard this again. Such amazing guitar work by Corgan and some of his best lyrics. Pick it up. Check it out. |
7 | Fuel Shimmer
I love this song.. I don't think anyone can't. Too bad Fuel wasn't that great of a band. I wish they had better songs besides this.. but they became a pretty generic rock band towards their ending career. This song will always be remembered. |
8 | Weezer Freak Me Out
This came so close to The World Has Turned And Left Me Here it's ridiculous.. but I decided to put this one up so it got more recognition. Unbelievable work by Cuomo, and props for the harmonica. An incredible song off a shit album. |
9 | Primitive Radio Gods Standing Outside A Broken Telephone Booth With Money In My Hand
Amazing concept, and awesome beat. Great song to listen to if you haven't heard it in a while. |
10 | Dishwalla Counting Blue Cars
To finish it off, I have to add Counting Blue Cars. Such an unbelievable song. Beautiful, and has a fantastic melody. Check these guys out if you don't know them. |
