The Unknown
The first five are bands that I've learned about through sputnik and it's members. The latter are bands that I've added to the site. |
| 1 | | 3 Wake Pig
3 is a progressive band that features Joey Eppard on guitar and vocals. He is a very talented and unique guitarist, and his vocals are somewhat similar to Coheed & Cambria |
| 2 | | Luxury Health and Sport
Luxury is an Christian alt rock band, and on Health and Sport the set a beautiful atmosphere with some great lyrics and well crafted music. |
| 3 | | Nick Drake Bryter Layter
I know Pink Moon is the one to get, but I ended up finding this one first, and if Pink Moon is supposed to be better then I am in for a treat. |
| 4 | | Opeth Blackwater Park
With this being my first real metal album I can definitely see what all the hype is about. |
| 5 | | At The Drive-In Relationship of Command
This album is a classic and a staple in the hardcore scene. Haven't heard anything else by these guys, but right now I'm a little more interested in The Mars Volta. |
| 6 | | Edgewater We're Not Robots...
Hard Rock as it's supposed to be. These guys are a relatively unheard of band from Texas. They did some good stuff on their sophmore release sending out a f**k the system message in the true rocker style. |
| 7 | | The Outline You Smash It, We'll Build Around It
The Outline are a modern alt rock band doing good things on their debut. They manage to keep very catchy yet they stay interesting and nothings really repetitive. |
| 8 | | Monty Are I Wall of People
These guys are just a fun band where Rock meets Pop Punk/Ska. There is a lot of energy in their music, and is a great listen. |
| 9 | | Blood Has Been Shed Spirals
Before Killswitch Howard Jones and Justin Foley were both in this band. Things are a little bit more brutal on this go around. I just found out about these guys a couple of weeks ago, and have only listened to the album a couple of times. It definitely has room to grow. |
| 10 | | Picketline Chapter:End
Another up and coming group with just their debut behind them. A solid album, nothing really new or inventive, but shows a lot of promise, and is a good listen for fans of the genre. |
