2008: Celebration At The Fall Of Civilization
2008. Much happened that year, culminating in one of the most important elections in United States history. Whether you like it or not, it was a huge year and for many, it was the end of the world as we know it. That kind of spirit entered the music -- music was either a mindless celebration, trying to find the good in the bad, or pondering the meanings and politics of the world, you could feel the heavy atmosphere everywhere. And here, here's my list of music that mattered to me in that year. |
