11.01.09 | weirdly i think it's actually a more powerful song in the context of the record, because it comes out of nowhere and there's loads of silence at the end of the previous track. lyrically it's an absolute masterpiece, as in, something you could analyse in a literature class and not get to the bottom of. perfect song.

11.01.09 | I think much of the album is lyrically perfect. Go to the page for MO on songmeanings.net and you'll see the debate over I Can Feel A Hot One. Andy Hull is cemented in my mind as the best lyricist today, and METN adds some awesome music to his poetry. God, I could go on and on about that album. It's perfect. Also, I agree about the song being better in context of the album. |
