|Sam Adams Octoberfest|
...is magically delicious. Dangerously so, some might say. Anyways, here are the albums that have my attention in October. Let me know what I'm missing.
|1|| ||East of the Wall|
Not the hugest fan of Ressentiment, but it's grown on me. Hopefully this is more Farmer's Almanac-y, though.
One of the most consistent post-rock/metal outfits on the market.
Apparently, this is pretty bluesy. Interesting.
The Ghost You Gave to Me
About time, gang.
Seeing these guys with Thrice later this month. Pretty excited about that.
Conditions of My Parole
Although their first album was incredibly inconsistent, their EP really got my hopes up for what this band is capable of. Hopefully this doesn't wreck that, but who knows?
Mainly excited by the fact that The Weeknd is involved with this album.
|9|| ||William Shatner|
Seeking Major Tom
This has all the ingredients for success: The Shats, spacemen, David Bowie...there you go.
|10||Cymbals Eat Guitars|
Thought this was supposed to come out last month, but apparently not. Ah well, I'm sure these guys are worth the wait.
|11|| ||Peter Gabriel|
Although some people really, *really* couldn't get behind Scratch My Back, I actually really enjoyed the minimalist sound he took on that album (for as much as an orchestra can be called minimalist, but that's an issue for another time). And I'm definitely interested to hear how it plays out with his own material.
|12|| ||Ben Folds|
Best Imitation of Myself: A Retrospective
Mainly interested in the new/unreleased material. Ben Folds Five back in action.
|13|| ||I Am the Avalanche|
Did you know this band still existed? I know I certainly didn't.
I'm about 88% sure this will be horrific. But hey, at least they aren't singing about Egyptian demons enslaving America, or whatever they've wasted their past several albums (and everyone's time) on.
Just look at her.
|very good beer|
|It's nothing special imo. Slyfox IPA has been my recent fav along with Dogfish Head Punkin Ale.|
|new dan mangan leaked. |
|I'm not too big on anything from Sam Adams. Oskar Blues, on the other hand...|
|Dogfish Head is really great.|
|If you want a real marzen, get Great Lakes' Oktoberfest.|
|I keep hearing good things about Dogfish Head (and Fat Tire), but haven't checked them out yet. I actually just had the Sam Adams IPA, which I really enjoyed. Guinness probably still has my top spot, though.|
|I had some Magic Hat #9 last night. That's a really great beer as well.|
|I don't like Guinness. SA Octoberfest though, aw yeah.|
|FIrestone-Walker's Oaktoberfest is a better marzen.|
|being a teenager who is forced to drink natty lite 90% of the time, sam adams is awesome |
|U gais suck PBR is tha best. |
|Great Lakes Holy Moses Pale Ale rules.|
|bell's octoberfest > sa's|
|PBR is the Nickelback of beer.|
|I thought Bud Light was the Nickelback of beer.|
|sa octoberfest is good but there are better fall beers|
