Meatplow 10.31.09	tom waits has one of the biggest, most consistently excellent discographies I can name. once you get a taste for him there is so much to discover

Meatplow 10.31.09	all of them, honestly. for a good cross section of his career i'd probably grab Closing Time, Small Change, Swordfishtrombones, Bone Machine, Blood Money and Orphans I guess. The only way to approach this guy is to either jump in somewhere or listen chronologically. Bone Machine era is my favourite, it's just so cartoonish, badass, weird and beautiful all at once. Mule Variations always had a similar feel to me.
