How do you go about checking out your electronic music? Im used to looking up which album is considered best, getting that and listening to it to get an idea if i like the band or not. But a lot of these electro djs/bands/artists/whatever dont seem to release cds or even eps. So what do you consider the best way to look up new artists that you know nothing about? |

As for your question: check out a site called Beatport, I check in there once a day. There's also a few good stores in Wellington that specialise in electro, I know a few people who work in each so i'll get a text from them if something new/good has dropped. Other than that, word of mouth via youtube, local dj's, gigs and general checking of the internet

Actually I just realized a better easier place to get electronic music.
www.Radiohead.com I'm not kidding. The put lists up that are so fucking amazing. If you see a song on a list get the album. Now a lot of it is not electronic but you really should still get everything. |
