3 - You're going to want 'Blackout' or 'Do or Die'. Probably 'Blackout' next.
5. 'Wishmaster' is the one I'd suggest next for you; it's their most complete album. 'Once' has their best individual songs, but you'll only remember a few, and the rest sort of fade out of mind.
9. You'll definitely want all of 'Be'. I'd actually get 'Like Water For Chocolate' next; that brought him up-to-date from '94 (unless you like '90's hip-hop, in which case you'll want 'Resurrection'). Individual songs: "The Light" from LWFC, "I Used To Know H.E.R." from Resurrection.

07.21.09 | If you like the sound of "The Warrior's Code" then you're probably going to want to go with "Blackout" (a FAR superior album, in general). But, if you're asking me for where the best Dropkick is at, it's got to be in their early stuff. Like... way early. "Do Or Die" or "Sing Loud, Sing Proud!" or, to be honest, their "Live on St. Patrick's Day" album is effing great. |

07.21.09 | 1. Karma and Epica are more Power Metal, the 2 after are more straight up Metal. Both TBH and Karma are great.
8. If bad production irks you don't get WoS. Songwriting wise Doomsday is a little better too IMO.
11. Don't start with one of those watered down albums like Bergtatt (still a great album, but not 100% BM)...get In The Nightside Eclipse by Emperor or Blood Fire Death by Bathory.

07.21.09 | Only one I can help you with Steve is Lacuna Coil. I'd start at Unleashed Memories as I don't think the gap between their most metal & their most poppy is as big as everyone claims it to be. Best to listen keeping their progression in mind. |

6. Of Malice and the Magnum Heart is better but you can't go wrong with either.
8. Wages of Sin definitely is the better of the two, not a big fan of the band again.
10. Just getting into these guys myself. Download the song "Game Theory."
11. Dissection - Storm of the Lights Bane
Sacramentum - Far Away From the Sun
Those two are a mix of black metal and melo-death, good starting points and among the best of the genre imo.

5. Dark Passion Play is their only worthwhile album. Tarja is a good singer but her voice is so monotonous and boring

11. Despite what others say, Enthrone Darkness Triumphant is an excellent way to get into black metal and get used to the sound before moving to more extreme bands
