From California To My
home sweet home! Albums I listened to flying to California and back to Baltimore on a recent trip. Got to see Skateboard Big Air and Moto X Best Trick at the X-Games in LA and visited my step mom is San Jose. Pretty rad vacation honestly. Anyways, I watched a movie coming home on the plane hence why the list is a bit short. |
1 | | Valencia This Could Be A Possibility
Their new album will actually be something to care about. This has some meh songs but some really good ones. Kind of drifted off in the middle of this. |
2 | | Opeth Blackwater Park
This is probably the second time I've listened to this record in full. Liked it more than the first and I thought it was enjoyable from the first. What should I listen to next? |
3 | | At The Drive-In In / Casino / Out
I tend to listen to Relationship of Command when the ATDI mood strikes and I really need to stop overlooking this record. Good shhhtuff. |
4 | | Neutral Milk Hotel In The Aeroplane Over The Sea
No my account didn't get hacked, I really listened to this. Figured I should based off of all the hype. Enjoyed it way more than I thought I would on the first listen. Spinning this again very soon. |
5 | | Sum 41 All Killer No Filler
Motivation? Because every trip needs a nice naive pop punk record, especially in the summer and I would say I handled this pretty well. That was lame... |
6 | | Rise Against Revolutions Per Minute
The record that made me fall in love with the band. Still one of my favorite punk records of all time. Still would love to see Torches performed live. |
7 | | Mayday Parade A Lesson In Romantics
This is seriously one of the best pop punk records to come out as of late. Strong hooks, varied tracks, guitar leads (and good ones at that), key changes, and wonderfully written smack in the face lyrics. A good record no matter what the season. |
8 | | King Crimson In The Court of the Crimson King
See second sentence for 4. Was very surprised that I recognized the opener in 21st Century Schizoid Man. It was from the opening of an old skateboarding video I used to watch. Guess they have better music taste than me. Liked this more than I thought I would. I'm assuming this is amazing high y/n? |
9 | | Dream Theater Metropolis Part 2: Scenes From a Memory
Enjoyable but honestly some of the tracks were just a bit long. This was towards the end of the flight home so I was getting kind of restless since I lost hours and it was close to midnight. Will probably spin this again soon. |
