Bands I got into this year
These are some of the bands I've gotten into so far this year. There will be more to come eventually. |
| 1 | Taking Back Sunday
This was one of the many pop punk bands I got into early in the year. They're still not too bad IMO but can get annoying. |
| 2 | Goo Goo Dolls
I can't remember how I got into this band. I just started to love them I guess. |
| 3 | Thrice
My friend gave Vheissu about 3 months ago, and at first I didn't like it. I love it now though, I need to get their 2 previous albums. |
| 4 | Dashboard Confessional
I had heard all their hits on MTV like everytone else, but I wanted to really get into them. I really started to like them and started buying their albums a month ago or so. |
| 5 | Norma Jean
When I went to cali in July, my cousin was obseessed with them. I wasn't a huge van, but I decided to buy their new album and I like them now. |
| 6 | Rise Against
I got siren song last christmas, which is close enough to 2006. It was alright at first, but they really grew on me. |
| 7 | Jack Johnson
My dad is a big adult alternative fan, go figure. but He said he had the cd. I listened to it and liked it. It grew on me though like most adult alternative artists do. |
| 8 | Metallica
My friend burned me the Black album early in the year, and I thought it was ok. I started to listen to more and more of it, and eventually i was constantly running around my house singing Metallica. They're one of the only 80's bands I listen to. |
| 9 | The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
I heard these guys on You Hear It First in May or around then, and I fell in love. I said "They sound like Underoath!!" I got the cd, and they're one of my favorite bands. |
| 10 | Senses Fail
I got Let it Enfold you in november. Its close enough. But I hated some of their songs, so i deleted them. I still really like some of their stuff, but The Irony of Dying On Your Birthday is the worst song ever. |

I got So Long, Astoria 3 years ago, but I never liked it. then about 2 months ago, I decided to put in on my iTunes, and have loved them ever scince. |
| 12 | Queen
We played Bohemian Rhapsody in band for our concert in May, and I wanted to listen to them, because our teacher had showed us a documentary on A night At the Opera, and showed some songs. Then I got a greatest hits cd, and it has some great stuff on it. |
| 13 | Straylight Run
I got a Victory Records sampler with a Hawthorne Heights cd about a year ago, and I remember liking Existensalism on Prom Night. So a couple months ago, I put the song on my iTunes. Then I downloaded a couple of their other songs, and now I can't wait to buy the new album. |
