| My Top Games of the Year So Far
Just a quick list of the best video games I played this year so far, there have been so many great releases I have been struggling to keep up with more to come in the near future. | | 1 | Persona 5
By far the best JRPG to come out in ages. Innovative, stylish and a damn good story. It deserves all the acclaim its getting and I rank it even better than Persona 4. | | 2 | NieR: Automata
Before this came out, I was a bit skeptical of this one. But holy shit, what an amazing game. Incredibly emotional, powerful characters and just batshit insane combat. You must do all the main 5 endings to truly appreciate how good this is. | | 3 | The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Man I feel weird ranking this third, but honestly it did not leave an impression on me like Nier Automata or Persona 5 did. But that doesn't change the fact that this is also a masterpiece. | | 4 | Resident Evil 7 (VR)
I wouldn't have ranked this as high on the list if I played it normally, but I have only tried and completed this in VR, and my god it is one of the most terrifying experiences I have went through. I have never been intensely jumped scared by a game as much as this one in VR. If you haven't tried VR before, this is probably the most immersive experience if you have the balls. | | 5 | Nioh

Great visuals and solid gameplay, found it pretty easy to complete and story was also good. Thought Aloy was also a really established character too. | | 7 | Gravity Rush 2

Played all the Yakuza series except for this one, was a nice prequel to what is a great story. Gameplay is a bit dated but Yakuza 6 seems to have changed that up a bit so I am hyped for that one. | | 9 | Injustice 2
Very solid fighter, probably one of the best of the year so far but have not sunk that much time into it as I thought I would. | | 10 | Farpoint
Average shooter at face value, but hook up the Aim Controller in VR then it becomes a completely different beast. Aiming down the sights with the controller is pretty awesome. | |

07.08.17 | Nier: Automata is incredible, really is! The first one is a hidden gem of the last console generation, and this one is much better. Horizon: Zero Dawn is also great, with a much better story than you would typically find in a game like that.
