Top 10 Favorite Albums

Also quite hard and is, of course, subject to change. Did I mention it was quite hard? Also, 1 and 2 are interchangeable. And 1 album per band, it is only fair that way, otherwise, there'd be a lot of Maiden, Megadeth, and it wouldn't be as interesting. With that, enjoy the list.
10Sum 41
Chuck

The outlier here, but I just really, really enjoy the album. I can't exactly quantify why I love it so much, but I do. It is Sum at their best which is, in my opinion, the best of the mainstream poppish punk, even if Sum 41 as moved away from the Pop-Punk sound that made them popular.
9Slipknot
Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)

This one clean. My parents let me buy it. That is why it is above the others. I have the most experience with it and I have a love for all the songs on this album, though Circle receives slightly less love.
8System of a Down
Toxicity

It is SOAD. Toxicity stands out as the constantly changing and perpetually enjoyable album in SOAD's repertoire. It is front to back an amazing album and has no skips for me.
7Metallica
Master of Puppets

Jury is still out on Metallica's best album for many, but I personally prefer MoP to Ride the Lightning. I guess I have a bit more listens in on MoP, which is the reason I'm using to justify its place.
6The Dillinger Escape Plan
Dissociation

In my last list, I said I enjoyed almost every song by them. Currently, I have enjoyed their latest and final (RIP) album to be my favorite by them. Are the others still great, you bet. But for right now it is Dissociation.
5Testament
The New Order

Probably one of the most consistent of the large thrash bands, Testament's best album is, at least to me, still up to debate. However, I currently find The New Order to be the most fascinating as of this list. Could it change, perhaps, will it ever not be awesome, no.
4Slayer
Reign in Blood

Chaotic, fast, and, well, SLAYER. If you had to describe why Slayer is regarded as highly as they are, all you do is show them this album. It really isn't that hard to see why.
3Meshuggah
Destroy Erase Improve

Djent, duh duh duhjent. Meshuggah are amazing and this album proves it to the listener again and again. Polyrhythmic and heavy, all of the Meshuggah "tropes" are here, but in no way does it feel repetitive. Me liky.
2Megadeth
Rust in Peace

The very best of Megadeth and probably the best of thrash as a whole. The riffs are on point, all the songs are great, and Friedman's solos are absolutely legendary. Basically, as I long as I hit skip on Dawn Patrol, everyone is happy. Except my family. My parents don't like metal.
1Iron Maiden
Powerslave

Their best album, in my opinion, that surely surpasses The Number of the Beast. Songs like Aces High, Powerslave, Rime of the Ancient Mariner define the album, if I had to name a few. This album is legendary and is Iron Maidens pinnacle album. That said, they are still producing quality material to this day.
