Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not
Best Album by the band. Just a group of friends trying to be rockstars, and they made it. Pure raw, fun lyrics, speed and a post punk feeling here and there. Amazing record. If only they could still manage this kind of quality in their last records.. oh well. Still it is their standout, Go check it. The album flows very well, expect to hear lots of drum beats and guitars riffs ringing all over the place at a fast pace. Songs about love, girls on dancefloors and cops. What a gem.
Recommended tracks: I bet you look on the dancefloor, Fake tales of San Francisco, Riot van, Mardy bum, and their best song of all time A certain Romance.

Favourite Worst Nightmare
The second attempt was also their 2nd best. The production here is also remarkable. You can say here that the AMonkeys just got more production, best quality, etc. | | 3 |  | Arctic Monkeys
Humbug
The monkeys came back with a different experimentation in their sound. Also one of their best crafted records. With the help of Josh Homme, a psychodelic sound came and the result, amazing. Some tunes might sound odd or weak, but man, the whole record is good! Topping with Favourite Worst nightmare for sure. I consider those two records almost in the same spot but i like to see them as two faces of the AMonkeys.
Recommended tracks: My propeller, Crying Lightning, Secret Door, Cornerstone, Fire and the Thud

Suck It and See
Suck it and see, the transition from Humbug to AM, to the excitement of the Arctic monkeys to the bland and commercial sound. Songs not so memorable or remarkable. Slow tempo songs, commercial tunes, leather jackets and hair gel too. like in AM. equals a bad Arctic monkeys record. After listening to all the Lps again and the new one, i came to the conclussion that this isnt their worst material. You can still here feel the Arctic monkeys but in a very weak way. and i mean a WEAK way. At least has good moments on songs like Thats where youre wrong, and others. Give it a try, at least is listenable.
Recommended tracks: Suck it and See and Thats where youre wrong.

Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino
What a letdown here. Waiting 5 years for a new rumoured Arctic monkeys record on the way and we got this. I dont know what to say honestly with this one. A strange change of direction, still the people who liked it goes mad if you say something like "It sounds like The last shadow puppets with the AM members". But you cant blame them. Yeah they kinda matured their sound, with less guitars, more pianos and strings but again we failed to achieve success. Maybe Alex´s direction with this one didnt went that well. In short words, a dissapointment.

AM
So, i changed my mind over this, well not that drastically right? I mean we all know the Arctic Monkeys and how they entered the mainstream era of teenager girls with Facebook, tumblr and instagram, and sadly i was kinda part of that hype. In my defense i liked the record, but still i was aware it was not that good or their best but well, you start to look things more closer and with better critic). Girls pretending to like a lot Rock and roll and loving "rockstars" like Alex Turner and boys who wanted to look like and sound like them.. But hey, kinda has catchy tunes and grooves, but it doesnt change the fact that this is a really bad "Rock revival" attempt. And my god, it is bad. some parts dont sound THAT bad but still, this is how you sell the rock n roll idea to the mainstream studios. Memorable songs: They are all weak and bad, maybe just maybe Do i wanna know
