2017 Movies I'm Psyched For

Because, yes, I am a 12 year old boy emotionally, which is why it's all comic book movies and horror and adventure flicks.
10Don McLean
American Pie

The Bye Bye Man

Yes, I know it'll probably suck. But the coming attractions look good, and I love my horror films, so it makes my list.

Bottom line: Mostly sucked. 2/5 stars.
9Kraftwerk
The Man-Machine

Blade Runner 2049

The original was one of my favorites. I don't know about Ryan Gosling, but it does have Harrison Ford, plus Jared Leto and Dave Bautista. I'm hopeful.

Bottom Line: Kind of slow, and not as good as I'd hoped. Best I can give it is 3/5 stars.
8Tower of Power
Tower of Power

The Dark Tower

I read the books, and there's potential for a decent film here. Idris Elba could be a good Roland. Don't disappoint me, guys.

Bottom Line: Not what I hoped for, but not as bad as they're saying. It kept me entertained. 2.5/5 stars.
7Aliens Ate My Setlist
Illusions

Alien: Covenant

I thought "Prometheus" was severely underrated, and I love Michael Fassbinder.

Bottom Line: Pretty good, but not as good as "Prometheus". 3/5 stars.
6Wolverine
Still

Logan

Should probably be higher, but I don't know who to bump.

Bottom Line: Old man Logan kicked some serious booty. 4/5 stars.
5Stevie Wonder
My Cherie Amour

Wonder Woman

Never know what to expect with these DC Comics films, but Gal Godot nailed it last year in "Batman v. Superman", and Chris Pine is usually decent. Also like Wonder Woman's music.

Bottom line: OK, but nowhere near as good as the hype. 3/5 stars.
4The Cure
Disintegration

Spider-Man: Homecoming

Has to be better than the last Spider-Man flick. Tom Holland stole the middle part of "Captain America: Civil War", so I'm hopeful.

Bottom line: They did a good job here. A lot of superhero films fall down some due to a crappy villain (see "Wonder Woman"). But Michael Keaton nailed it as The Vulture. 4/5 stars.
3Justice
Woman

Justice League

Please don't suck. Please don't suck. Please don't suck. Please don't suck.

Bottom line: Not as bad as some would have you believe, but definitely a little flat. Still not a fan of Afleck's Batman. 2.5/5 stars.
2Guardians Of Dalliance
Diffusion Rooms

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Pretty confident that this will be good. Trailers make it look like they nailed it again.

Bottom line: Funny film, about as good as the first one. 4/5 stars.
1Ragnarok
Psychopathology

Thor: Ragnarok

I know what you're thinking -- a "Thor" movie #1? But this isn't just any Thor movie, it's a Thor/Hulk buddy movie. Think of the old Hope/Crosby Road films you see on Turner Classic Movies. Will it be great? I don't know, but it has so much potential.

Bottom line: Fun film, but maybe just a little too tilted in the comedic direction. I'll give it a 4/5 stars.
