Anyhow, there's no way in Hell I'd pay the outrageous fees CrossFit charges so I could lift weights with improper form and do a bunch of awkward cardio exercising that I can do just as easily for free. |

09.24.14 | Crossfit pretty much promotes improper form. There are some "prominent" crossfit people that do crazy shit on ESPN but they're a very small minority. I mean, kipping pullups, doing some super lopsided heavy squats that look like poor form olympic squads, lifting lower back on normal deadlifts, often going way past their RPM for whatever moronic reason on compounds. Add some half-repping to that and that most of it is in a fashion of circuit training and you get a disaster.
Unless you're a pro with years of experience I'm gonna highly doubt that you are able to do heavy compounds with proper form in a circuit style fashion. And even they probably don't do that because it's a dumb concept. I mean, if it was isolation I'd see no problem. But heavy compounds? Over their RPM? It's not like any of them is Bruce Banner. |
