|Top 13 Favorite Albums Of All Time|
Because the last three are top ten worthy.
I don't give a shit. You can't shock me, because MM held the world in the palm of his hand for the better part of a decade. The
dude was a true (one of the VERY few) artist and a mastermind, not to mention a vastly talented lyricist and vocalist. This
album is outstanding.
IMO, the pre-cursor to post metal. Just listen to "Prayers for Rain".
|11||between the buried and me|
Tough to leave these last three off of the list, but I see them as "Top 10" when I think of them, so here we are.
The final five minutes of White Walls have to be my favorite musical moment in history. Not even kidding. Chills.
|10||a perfect circle|
Just beautiful. Dark. Even heavy in a lot of ways.
I never liked Thrice before this (and still don't enjoy prior work) but has seen frequent rotation ever since.
Dense. Check my review.
|7||alice in chains|
Will there ever be an album with as much raw emotion as this one? I could go on for days about my love for this.
rust in peace
The riffs. Holy Wars has to be the greatest thrash song of all time.
|5||the atlas moth|
an ache for the distance
In a very depressing period of my life I found this album. It didn't bring me out of it, but was such a perfect accompaniment
that I DIDNT REALLY EVEN WANT TO GET OUT OF IT.
ride the lightning
My personal favorite Metallica. Creeping Death, Ride, Fade to Black etc. This thing is hit after hit after hit.
|3||rage against the machine|
the battle of los angeles
Not the best Rage, but the first one I really paid attention to. I picked up a guitar when this album dropped. So many great
tracks, the best production of all their albums and the anthem of my middle school years. I will never tire of it.
Soundtrack to a personal epiphany and thus monumentally important in my personal development. ALSO IT IS UNRIVALED.
Always and Forever. Check my review.
