| A Charming Night w/ The Menzingers

Too Shabby
The rhythm guitarist looks e x a c t l y like Shaggy from the original Scooby-Doo cartoons. Also, their lead guitarist looked like he was an EDM fan cause he was not into his face-melting solos. Either way, band fucking rocked like the end of the Spongebob movie. Got a high five from the bassist at the merch table and bought a tape and a shirt three sizes to large. | | 2 |  | Jeff Rosenstock
Worry.
A bunch of assholes in the front were shouting "HEY JEFF" and he was all chill and waving but man it ate him up inside. I was worried at first there wouldn't be a pit but then these two hoppy motherfuckers came to the front and I made like the Spongegar meme . People were slamming even to the piano songs. Also Jeff sounded like he was really excited about some new anime that came out on Crunchyroll or some shit (I got cartoons on the mind or something), he was so giddy. Best part of the night. On the Impossible Past
Around the final jam session of You, In Weird Cities, I realized that I was dying of dehydration and spent four bucks on a bottle of water. Went back into the front for Tellin' Lies, but then I realized that the whole fucking club was piling into the front. It was like The Battle of the Bastards from GoT, I was literally being shoved upwards. Band was kickass, but like damn when I was screaming along to The Obituaries I was also losing five years on my life the damage it did to my lungs. Yeah it was awesome. Me and my friends aren't really Menzingers fans but they had that energy that really brought the room out. Wish they played mostly After the Party songs though that album is their best imo | |
