04.06.14 | I haven't watched the build-up towards WrestleMania (altough I heard that the 'Bryan vs The Authority' stuff was the best thing in a while).
I'll probably watch it tomorrow though. |
CalculatingInfinity
04.06.14 | This Mania, unless Daniel Bryan wins the title, will be fucking awful. At least Maffew from Botchamania will make comedy gold out of this. |

04.06.14 | If Punk didn't leave we would've actually got Triple H vs Punk |

04.06.14 | Punk vs HHH would be the same shit as Bryan vs HHH (even though Bryan is way better than Punk)
I just can't deal with the fact that Punk became a fucking whiner |
CalculatingInfinity
04.06.14 | I think Bryan would have a better match with HHH than Punk, Bryan works brilliantly with dominant heels. |

04.06.14 | Wyatt should beat Cena and the Real Americans, Rhodes Brother's, and the shield should all break up at least for the sake of trying to make things interesting and to build up younger talent. It is stupid if Big Show wins the battle royal because someone who is a lil more young like Cody Rhodes or Dolphin Ziggler should win. Or at worst make it the last two people Mysterio vs Big Show and then Mysterio gets over Big Show one last time.
Fuck the main events, I like Bryan but unless he gets a long serious main event title run, what the neck is the point of him winning? If Triple H pulled out a golden sprayed shovel from the ring I would laugh my ass off. |

04.06.14 | Prepare yourselves for the first hour of the show to be a never ending Hogan promo where he says the word "brother" so many times that you will begin to question why the fuck aren´t the tag titles on the main card |
ILiveInNetherlands
04.06.14 | Yeah, but it's only Bryan who works. Triple H desperately needs a no holds barred stipulation, otherwise it will be just awful. Painful to watch.
The last three men in the Battle Royal will be some lame legends and it makes me sick. |

04.06.14 | This wrestlemania is crap just like most of the others. Wrestlemania I think 18, 19, 21 are really good if I remember right.
I was wanting:
WWE Championship; Bryan beats a heel CM Punk for the titles
US Championship: Reigns beats Ambrose and Rollins in a triple threat
Undertaker beats Brock Lesnar in a flaming tables match, Paul Heyman goes through flaming tables too and Brock Lesnar is not built up to look like a bitch like he has been since returning
John Cena loses to Bray Wyatt in a legacy vs family match (John can't go after titles for a year if he loses, the Wyatt family has to break up if Wyatt lost)
5 way elimination match for Divas Championship AJ Lee vs Tamina Snuka vs Brie Bella vs Nikki Bella vs Natalya (AJ Lee wins after the Bellas and Snuka are eliminated, Paige debuts and helps AJ Lee win, only to kick the crap out of AJ Lee and Paige holds the title in the air before throwing it on the face of a knocked out AJ)
Dolph Ziggler wins the Intercontinental Championship from Big E
Cody Rhodes wins the Number One contender money in the bank match (Sandow, Goldust, among the match participants) |
PorcelainRain
04.06.14 | Also I would have sworn Bryan vs HHH already was No Disqualification and if it isn't, that is the dumbest thing out of all. HHH can't put on great matches especially within normal rules, and the last 7 months has been all interference, they can't just end this match with straight up interference. I'm sure no matter what there will be teased interference, but someone will come out and help Bryan I'm sure too. |

04.07.14 | So the build-up sucked, the feud sucked, the match sucked, but the streak is over. Shawn Michaels was the only candidate. |
PorcelainRain
04.07.14 | Rob Van Dam mathematically now has the best record at Wrestlemania.
It was appropriate that Lesnar ends the streak. Great surprise, even though I didn't watch it hah. |
CalculatingInfinity
04.07.14 | "It was appropriate that Lesnar ends the streak"
You're mental, no one was fit to end it. The defining part of the best big man in wrestling history is now crushed to push a part timer since WWE didn't manage Brock properly. |
CalculatingInfinity
04.07.14 | If anyone was going to end it would have to be either Shawn, Sting or Kurt Angle. |
unaMUSEd
04.07.14 | I wouldn't have minded if Punk ended it last year. Or if he just retired after the 3rd HHH match. |
PorcelainRain
04.07.14 | Look at what Brock Lesnar did in UFC and tell me who is more legit to end the streak than him. Only Kurt Angle realistically. Shawn and Sting at this point are too old an Shawn lost twice to Undertaker at Wrestlemania. Lesnar is being built up because he doesn't need to be a full timer to be a consistent and legitimate main attraction for WWE. Now Lesnar can challenge for the Championship which is what he's been cutting promos on since 2014 started. Lesnar has been in WWE for nearly a full year out of the last two years. He's not full time, but he's not just some part timer.
If anyone were to end it and it be believable, it was Lesnar. The only others would be the Rock, Stone Cold, or Kurt Angle. |
CalculatingInfinity
04.07.14 | @PorcelainRain: I'm not denying that Brock's UFC skills (dear god he looks like a pure monster). Now that I've finally watched the whole event (which is pretty great actually, HHH/Bryan fucking ruled), I can see why they did it but every single aspect about it just made me feel depressed. Unfortunately the match itself was in a doomed street to begin with due to 3 reasons. Firstly if the match was 22-0, it would have slipped into non-existence and be forgotten about due to fact that it was a lacklustre match which didn't live up to the other more recent streak matches. Secondly, it would have been a lacklustre match either way due to Undertaker's condition. Compared to last year his performance took a massive drop, finally looking like an old Legend on his last legs and he showed it. Lastly is, unfortunately as you said, who's going to end it?
There's no one worthy on the entire roster that is a worthy candidate to beat the streak since the entire streak's gimmick is how multiple legends and future HOF's try to defeat the Undertaker (which instantly invalidates all rising stars). Bryan's obliviously had his awesome moment, Batista is obliviously a not large enough name for it, Randy already lost a streak match, John Cena was already booked for a match, Triple H had his shots, Shaun's retired, Sting was pretty much out the picture and Kurt Angle won't join the WWE or will join too late. The only person who's left is Brock Lesnar (which I have my own reason why I don't like the fact that he got over but I'll leave my personal bias out of this).
Add on to this the fact that the match had near enough zero storyline outside the streak, the match quality itself and didn't exploit multiple factors that could have made this match have a more dramatic feel then "fuck it, Undi's tired so we need to end the streak" (such as Lesnar's 2-0 record over him including a HIAC match where he left him in a pool of his own blood, their confrontation they had after one of Brock's UFC matches, Undi's age and Paul's incredible mic skills) made it feel like one of the most unfortunate and depressing moments in WWE history. The fact that the streak alone was ending was depressing enough as in is but the way it in did go out was to me an awful consequence on circumstance. The walk which Undi took to the ramp was the moment where I finally went "Fuck you WWE" to "God damn it Undi, it's a shame ;-;"

04.07.14 | lol modern wrestling is terrible. the characters are all so lame |
PorcelainRain
04.07.14 | Yeah you make a lot of good points that I agree with. Undertaker has wanted to put someone over for a long time using the streak. He tried to get Kane as the winner for their WM match, but Glenn Jacobs refused to win against him.
I most of all agree that the build was horrible. The build for all of WM30 was horrible. Just dreadful. I only watched one and a half episode of Raw in the last few months and the half episode was just an hour and I fell asleep. |

04.07.14 | It does help that I don't like Brock what so ever depsite his god given talents. He's a massive dick and I wanted that extreme honour to go to someone more deserving. |
