Totengott 11.21.14	I have a lot of favorite bands and it would take a lot of time to calculate their averages, but I picked some out. They're in the correct order with average of the band: Coroner 4,63 Triptykon 4,3 King Crimson 4,22 Neurosis 4,06 Jethro Tull 3,7 The last one is remarkable, but kind of expecting, because they do have some bad albums. Jethro Tull remains my favorite of all time regardless of that rating.

Totengott 11.21.14	Well, it depends a lot on the discography of the said bands, one on my list has just 2 full lengths and one EP. Bands with long discographies usually have a couple bad albums, so it's more likely to have a lower average. Kind of interesting. Oh and I really like your list.

Also I haven't done my usual year end re-rating, so not everything is definitive, but that's what I got: Beatles / Red Hot Chili Peppers 8.18 Rise Against 8 Metallica / Offspring 7.5 R.E.M. 7.375 The Cure 7.33 Quite surprised there isn't something totally embarrassing. On the other hand I had to ignore some of my favs, because they have less than 3 LPs (yet).

KrazyKris 11.21.14	Well, the "advantage" for RHCP is that I've only heard three of their albums (BSSM, Cali, BTW) and they are just so damn consistent. Road Trippin' really is, beaten only by Breaking The Girl and Dosed for me. The others are Soap&Skin (~9.5) Joy Division (~9; difficult to get a third, unless Curtis finally rises from his grave), Jimi D. (only one LP at 9 so far) and I guess if I'd speed up on Led Zeppelin a little I'd get something around an 8 too

Mythodea 11.21.14	Well, Bloodbath are old school death metal. Opeth have a lot of death metal incoroporated, though they ae masters in genrebending and you'll find many elements in their music. I don't know much about Bloodbath, I can't say for sure. If you like Bloodbath AND progressive metal, chances are you'll like Opeth. Or you can simply check their earlier stuff (1995-1999).

It's like asking you what's your name and telling me the name you'd like to have.
