| Check out my new solo album!
Hey guys, hopefully a few of you still remember me. It's been a busy year so I haven't been on Sputnik in forever, but I thought I'd pop in to share my new album with you. I've shared some of my stuff on here before, but it was all poorly produced self-recorded stuff. This album was properly recorded with a full band and I'm really proud of how it turned out. I would really appreciate it if you would check it out and let me know what you think. A lot of work went into this. List is the new album plus the stuff I've shared here in the past. The album is poppy punky. Here's the bandcamp link, free download: https://nisanfarber.bandcamp.com/album/if-youre-ever-feeling-lost | 1 | | Nisan Farber If You're Ever Feeling Lost...

09.01.16 | Hey! this is pretty good. I like the natural rawness of how the instruments are recorded (esp. the guitars), but the vocals are very clear and easy to understand. At first they kind of turned me off, but throughout the album they grow on you. They are decent, but there's a confidence to them that makes you appreciate them more. Overall it's pretty poppy, the lyrics are angsty, but they work well, with the sound. The variety in the music is great, song to song everything sounds different, but sounds like the same band playing those different songs, so it makes for a captivating listen for sure. "Look in the mirror to see a little bit clearer" couldn't be more Flagpole Sitta, so I hope that's the point. The Excitement's Gone is a track I enjoyed a lot, the switch from a slow folky song to a faster punk song was cool. I don't know if it's just me but I got an Alkaline Trio vibe from some of the numbers here, but then there are parts that kinda remind me of Third Eye Blind. I like the folk punk songs the most. That last track is fun and a good closer. Good job, dude! | AsleepInTheBack

09.01.16 | Love the lyrics, especially in the opener; they're probably my favourite thing about the whole project, followed closely by the naturally recorded guitars (as Dungeon mentioned), gives it a great basement pop punk kind of vibe. The bass in 'Stay That Way' and a few other songs seems a little overpowering, but the songs are great otherwise (its better than some bands where the bass is indistinguishable from the guitar). Oh, and Setting Fire To Bridges is one of my favourite songs of 2016 now haha. | KriegdemKriege
09.01.16 | Hey guys, thanks so much for giving it a listen and for all the feedback! It means a lot. I'm really glad you like the songs. Dungeonboy, I'm happy you like the variety and that you think it sounds like the same band playing the different songs. I was a bit worried the album would sound disjointed to some since there are a lot of different styles here. | KriegdemKriege
09.01.16 | Asleep, thank you! Glad you like the lyrics and the closer! I really like the bass in Stay That Way haha. Basement pop punk is a great compliment. Thanks again guys! |
