10 Overlooked Greats
1Hate
Morphosis

A fantastic set of old-school death metal tracks with a very technical flair. These guys are one of the most criminally overlooked death metal bands out there, with each of there albums being rather good.
2Carach Angren
Where The Corpses Sink Forever

Some incredible use of symphonic work coupled with the storytelling nature of the vocals is what sets this band apart from most black metal music. Whilst they are nothing unique, they're a lot better than most bands out there.
3Jack Off Jill
Sexless Demons And Scars

The follow up to this album was better and a lot more prolific, but their debut is still fun and entertaining. Put aside the childish lyricism and this is an enjoyable enough piece of female-fronted rock music.
4 Meat Puppets
Meat Puppets II

A punk band that are not right up there with artists such as the Sex Pistols in popularity but nontheless have an absolutely fantastic history. Many of their early works are flat out classics of the genre and deserve a listen.
5Chris Cornell
Euphoria Morning

A little more prolific than most of these names, Chris is best known for his works with Soundgarden and Audioslave. However, his debut solo release is a really nice piece of rock music packed with some solid enough tunes.
6Christian Death
Catastrophe Ballet

Rozz Williams put together a masterpiece of deathrock with Catastrophe Ballet, a work flooded with some ingenius guitar work and masterful vocals. If there were ever an overlooked album that deserved more attention, it is this.
7Canibus
Rip The Jacker

Canibus had a brief five minutes of fame with his LL Cool J diss track on his debut album, but his strongest works came after he faded into obscurity. Rip The Jacker is a flat out masterpiece of hip hop music that sadly more people do not know about.
8Bauhaus
Burning From The Inside

Whilst their debut received a lot of acclaim and attention upon release, Bauhaus really failed to hit the mainstream with anything that followed it. However, this gothic rock band has an entire catalogue of fantastic releases that deserve more attention than they received, with Burning From The Inside standing testament to this.
9Bodyjar
How It Works

Not The Same got this band a lot of attention on the Tony Hawks video game, but unfortunately this album never really hit the big time. This is a great selection of punk tunes that more people should listen to. They are very catchy, and full of emotion.
10Cabal
Midian

A death-thrash band that came out of the ashes of death metal band Necrophagia, Cabal's one studio release Midian has arguably some of the best riffs of their genre, and is unfortunately virtually unknown.
